UT3 on an External Harddrive?

PatarrPatarr Member Posts: 12

So, my personal computer's disk drive wouldn't read the Unreal Tournament 3 installation disk, so i hooked my external hard drive up to my cousin's comuter and installed UT3 onto MY harddrive, using his computer. If i were to installa & use the activation key from the box to activate my game at his house, would it still work on my computer if i were to take my external harddrive back to my house and plug it back into my computer?

Or atleast, do you THINK it'd work?

    UT3 isn't an MMO (thankfully).

No.  With many games it is impossible to run them on an external hard drive unless the game has already previously been installed on that machine.  Most games use drivers that it places in C:Windows regardless of what drive you install the game on.  Also unless your using eSATA you don't wanna run UT3 on an Extended at all.

Well, the game DOES work after i saved it on my ext. hard drive, BUT i think clefty was right about the drivers thing.... some of the graphics appear very muddy or very pixelated, so i either have to somehow download the drivers that normally come while installing the game, or get a better graphics card. Hopefully, i'll be getting a better graphics card anyway lol
