Thought it may be a good idea to start a thread to discuss things or items that players should not miss out on. Mainly so newer players ( although i'm new myself ) can get the best start possible.
Renown gear = Once you have a few pvp ranks head of to the renown merchant and pick up some cheap but good equip. The equip is much better than looted items and helps greatly at lower levels.
Renown Training = After hitting level 10 head to the renwon trainer and gain some upgrades to the likes of Strengh, Stam, Even a 5% exp in RvR battles.

Good to know, however, I found that rewards from area influence tends to be better than the reknown gear.
Has a lvl 6 high elf swordmaster I have picked up a 11.6DPS great sword with +7 strength bonus while the best renown weapon I could get from the merchant was a 13 DPS great sword... I know which one I went for.
