I don't really like the Dark elf/high elf pairing.  It takes 15 minutes because of how the scenario machanic works.. I've never seen it less than that (as anyone seen anyone else hit 500 on this map?)

I play on Averhiem, and usually one of us gets to 500 before the time runs out. But there are times we spend the entire 15min fighting and only getting up to 200 max.

What side? Im on the same server but im order.  Swordmaster.]

And the Dark Elf/High Elf  T1 scenario is a joke.  I hate it.  If Order (my side) isnt loosing, then its just a boring 15 minute camp fest.

T2 scenario is way more fun.

I play on Order Averheim as an Archmage. You may have seen me around. My characters name is Validorn. You've might have seen me telling people to work together or what not, or maybe you are above my level. I've been playing in the T1 scenarios since release day and still am. I just hit level 11 last night. I am totally pulling these numbers out of my ass, but this is around how much we win when I am doing a scenario. I'd say 40% us win w/ 500, 30% they win w/500, and 30% they win by default (timer runs out). So they win a lot, but so do we. It really matters how many low levels a side has and how skilled players are. When tanks are running away from battles when they are healers backing him up or when they go on a frenzy, letting Witch Elves backstab and gang up on the Healers, we lose. But when we have healers and tanks working together, in conjuction with our ranged DPS doing their job, we always win. I've never seen use lose when we worked together like that. Same with their side though.

the elves scenario is much more fine tactics than brutal mayhem. Just killing enemies is not gonna make you win.

In this scenario you have to remember the goal is getting the flag and it just take a guy 5 seconds to cap a flag, so beware that.

Also in my server it is rare to get to 500, but since I realized how the thing went, I have been vpersonally getting quite a few flags leading the counts up.

On another topic, of course there are more tanks in the empire scenario on the destruction side! Dark elf do NOT have a tank :D

Ironbreaker and Collision detection: It works exactly like every other dude. I have been able to block people from advancing just putting me small self in front of them. Of course smashing me shield on their teeth works even better than just standing there...

It is amazing what a tank and an healer can do, especially when you reach level 10. Tank get the guard ability, has taunt, the healer has detaunt... so if they concentrate on the healer, they are doing 25% damage to the healer and 25% to the tank... and they will never be able to kill either.

I find the Ironbreaker to be the best tank I have tried so far (got Swordmaster to 11, black orc to 6 and chosen to just 2), get grudge to 100 and then you start doing some incredible damage. As many people still have not learned to NOT bash on the healers, I get grudge to 100 really fast when I place my oath friend on a random healer (or my wife if we are playing together) and then wammo! suddenly this little dwarf is doing some super dps.

As for Warrior Priests, I do not lke the fact all their heals are HOTs. Yes, one of them has a very tiny insta part, but it even take time to cast! this compared to, say, runepriest that has a HOT and an insta heal, both taking no time to cast.

There is a real problem with lacking tanks in the tier 1 Empire pairing. Often I would find myself alone in middle of the enemy cause my realm mate decided to all stay back, even the witch hunters and the warrior priest... so Destruction get the Fortress while every Order player is on the bridge doing exactly what I dunno. And then I usually die or am forced to retreat.

It's funny how different players are on the battlefield. A lot of these players remind me of WoW PvP players, not DAoC PvP players. The WoW PvP players are the ones who are backing away when a group of enemies is coming your way, tanks running behind the healers and etc, even though we have the same amount of people on our side. A lot of players don't have even online courage in order to win the fight. Sounds like that's what you are experiencing on your side. It'll take some time, but eventually some Generals on both sides will arise and start taking charge of the battlefield. I've tried to direct people in a few of the scenarios, as I have in DAoC, but it doesn't seem like people care to listen.

I've joined a nice guild, so I'm not too worried about the unskilled elements of the community, besides, some of these people have never played a MMORPG before, much less PvP, so it will take time for them to gain the skills necessary to win. I have patience and I know it's just the T1 scenario, but I laugh and love pointing out over chat when the tanks runaway from a fight and end up behind ME, a Healer, lol.
