The OP is giving his opinion, although he does stated as though it were a fact. I personally agree with him, it's just that other upcoming mmos don't really apeal to me the way darkfall does, not even other sandboxes like earthrise, fallen earth, mortal, etc. WAR is a pretty decent game but it's just the same old same old really, except with an improvement in PvP, and don't get me wrong I enjoy it but I just don't see myself playing it for years to come unlike DF.

That's fine, I'd rather save my money and do something I actually enjoy instead of wasting my life playing an unrewarding cookie cutter/carebear game.
My guild which is one of the oldschool pk/pvp guilds from UO is playing WAR atm (personally I am playing Forumfall instead), and the people playing it is quite enjoying it.
It seems to be a really solid game. you can lvl solely on pvp'ing.
DF is on paper superior of course, but lets see how it all plays out when/if beta comes.
Until then WAR is definitely worth waisting your time on imo.

No you dont get it. First - I played alot more felucca UO then you have. Started on beta -97 and is still playing on defiance. Those UO freeshards with settings from pre UOR or UOR time is still the best and most skilldemanding PvP games in existence.

Eh what? Most oldtime pvp/pk guilds i know, like my own guild SUN/Team-DK that dominated catskills, and KoC, The Mercs, SiN, DDH, etc. have moved on long ago.
Many moved to AC/Darktide around 1999, and had fun fighting there, it was an awesome game, better than UO in many ways.
Then many of us moved to DAoC where we got all the big pvp guilds together on Merlin in the beginning and later moved on to the pvp servers when they came up.
Then we moved to SB where we all got on the common pvp server there.
Then some moved to swg, some to eve, some to wow.
My own guild have played both wow, AoC and now WAR.
And we are still all about competitive PvP.
You missed out on alot of fun if you been stuck in UO all this time.

My guild, XLordX guild 6I6, tDC (Darkcult), -7-, Deathjesters and others went to Reet and after that to DFI freeshard after AoS.

Biggest mistake was trying out WoW. It set a standard for what to stay out of in the future.
AoC and WAR isnt games my guild would enjoy.

I agree.. darkfall is a beakon of hope. I believe in it, i really do.. everything that I believe was promised has shown itself in videos..

That's fine, I'd rather save my money and do something I actually enjoy instead of wasting my life playing an unrewarding cookie cutter/carebear game.
My guild which is one of the oldschool pk/pvp guilds from UO is playing WAR atm (personally I am playing Forumfall instead), and the people playing it is quite enjoying it.
It seems to be a really solid game. you can lvl solely on pvp'ing.
DF is on paper superior of course, but lets see how it all plays out when/if beta comes.
Until then WAR is definitely worth waisting your time on imo.

You hoped about WAR? WAR is great success regarding what it is. Even its not my game its perfect game for his genre.
Darkfall is absoultely different game and have nothing with AoC or WAR at all. Its like give hope on The Sims if you are FPS player!!!

Hmm, dunno really. It just comes natural after experiencing games like WoW.
10 year of felucca UO helps out. It set a standard for whats good and worth looking into.

Eh what? Most oldtime pvp/pk guilds i know, like my own guild SUN/Team-DK that dominated catskills, and KoC, The Mercs, SiN, DDH, etc. have moved on long ago.
Many moved to AC/Darktide around 1999, and had fun fighting there, it was an awesome game, better than UO in many ways.
Then many of us moved to DAoC where we got all the big pvp guilds together on Merlin in the beginning and later moved on to the pvp servers when they came up.
Then we moved to SB where we all got on the common pvp server there.
Then some moved to swg, some to eve, some to wow.
My own guild have played both wow, AoC and now WAR.
And we are still all about competitive PvP.
You missed out on alot of fun if you been stuck in UO all this time.

My guild, XLordX guild 6I6, tDC (Darkcult), -7-, Deathjesters and others went to Reet and after that to DFI freeshard after AoS.
Never tried out SB myself. Some of us did but didnt enjoy it.
Biggest mistake was trying out WoW. It set a standard for what to stay out of in the future.
AoC and WAR isnt games my guild would enjoy.
Only game arround that can bring the guild together as a whole is DF.
Everyone here needs to face reality-- Companies are HAPPY with these results.. (with the except of a few bad apples)-- The sandboxers are a minority.. We may have seen our last day... I agree Darkfall is the last hope, but I don't have much faith... In fact, I highly doubt it will be salvation..
I'm not being negative, I'm being realistic. We need to accept our version of MMORPG's is dead and gone.
