Looking for Sandbox game

Hi,

Im looking for a sandbox style game where i can do what i want and progress my character into what i want him to be. I want the game to have the following:

• Decent Graphics
• Good skill system and crafting system
• Can be P2P or F2P
• Has detailed character customisation

I dont mind whether it is a sci fi or a fantasy game just need something new to play.

ah! same! i was just about to ask the same thing.

but i was looking something like this too add:

• player housing
• decent to better graphics
• has a pet system, doesn't have to apply to all chars, just like hunter or other class/prof will do
• fighting of course
• different looking armor!

Asherons Call has what you are looking for and loads more,bit dated grafics but not bad,the gam gas the best lootsystem for a mmo game ever and gamplay is superb.

DARKFALL

it takes gaming to a whole new level...

its not for the feint of hearted ...its a bit underground and its brutal...this is a game for the hardcore though i think all gamers would end up appreciating this new style of gaming .

atm they are still doing internal testing by a large team of proffesionals ...Beta is coming out very soon

when it comes out a whole new flood of info will be spread ....we will know then to temper our hopes or to put cellofane on keyboard to prevent from getting a short circuit failure due to massive drooling

Yes they are the only nice modern sandbox games, but they are still too far away from what they want. The only hope for great fantasy sandbox games currently are Darkfall and Mortal online.

Is it in beta?  Hard to say with DFO, been in beta for years according to some lore.  But no, there's no one outside of the private circle of testers and friends who've ever even seen DFO, much less tested it.

You can go over to sign up for the beta on their website, (I did) and the trailer promises a game release this year (big doubt on this one) but perhaps we'll see a beta.  We can only hope.

I'd also look at Earthrise but it is still in developement.The release is set for next year, but they are saying the Beta will be this year. Also you can play Ryzom now for free and that will last till the end of next moth at least.
