I don't know what version of the game the OP is playing, but every single american server is at least on high/high during peak times, and a good portion after and before peak hours.

I see this game reaching about 3 million.

I can see that happening around june or something in 2009, definately not this year. This game is great but we need some more content before we get 3mill......so far I'm hoping we atleast get 1.2mill by the end of this year.... but I'm always a realist, never get my hopes up too much so I may be under-exagerating but so far I think/hope it will be 1.2mill subs by the end of this year, maybe even 1.7

Where are you getting your numbers from?  How many players does it take to make a server high/high?  500?  1000?   2000?  or do you even know?  Are just throwing out numbers?

I would guess that across all primetimes there are about 60k concurrent users.  Which would be like 500k.  With the 1:10 subs versus concurrent.

That is very rough math but it would have to be off by double to meet this projection.

That's a reasonable assumption. I would have honestly guessed maybe around 500k have bought this game so far myself.

I always said WAR would be around 300-500K max, it is a niche game by design guys, there is no point in trying to deny it.

So I believe EA is pretty much spot on, maybe a bit conservative, but not far off.

whatever numbers you guys want to guesstimate at, please add +1 at the end of it for me.  kk thanks.

Pretty much a given that he pulled that number out of his rear. Given the massive influx of players with a record-breaking over 500k accounts in the first week, there's no denying WAR is a game that appeals to the masses of gamers on a scale only World of WarCraft will be able to contest. The question is, which MMO will be the 3rd giant on the market? So yeah, that EA guy just got "Particularly Awful Guesser" title unlock in the Tome of Knowledge. :D

The numbers game is stupid, but if you must play it wait till the free month is over, thats when you can tell who is gonna stay and who isn't, and if anyone is curious the walmarts around my area and the gamestops are still fully stocked on war, not much sales around here.

I do like this game and well i'm still playing it heh, til wrath anyways but ...honestly there is not enough to do in it if your not really into pvp, the quests go buy quick, pq's are fun but i'm already noticing they are becoming harder to do since people are rushing to the end game, new players may never get to finish a pq unless some high levels go and help, and i see that rvr areas aren't getting used as much on certain realms, actually on the tier 1 high elf area on my server i have yet to see any rvr take place, which kinda bums me out heh, i go up and look around and nobody is there.

The crafting is far below any other mmo out there...it just isn't good, and crafting is my favorite thing heh.

A lot of people have this attitude this is WARRRRR its about pvp not all that other crap, but seriously if they want to have more players they will need to have all that other crap a lot of gamers out there don't care for pvp, hell i barely do, i keep trying the scenarios but honestly i'm kinda meh about them and i just don't care to battle other gamers, never been my kinda thing.

I sort of agree on the crafting. I think the concept they have in mind is really good, but the implementation of it in the game needs a good deal of tweaking. In addition there's not many crafting professions right now with just Talisman Making and Apothecary. I also agree that if you're only into PvE, you shouldn't get WAR, as it's a PvP game. They won't be adding as much PvE content as you see WoW doing. You'll end up disappointed if this is what you expect, similar to how PvPers in WoW have had to live with an incredibly small number of battlegrounds for many, many, many years and still do. I think for you personally, I would just play World of WarCraft. WAR is an RvR game and if PvP isn't your thing at all, you're probably not its target audience. WAR is not going to beat WoW in PvE content. Hell, I would be surprised if WoW doesn't incorporate Public Quests in some form in their next expansion or possibly before that in a content patch, and that's the only "big PvE thing" that WAR will have over WoW after Wrath of the Lich King is released.

More content? Do I need to go over what has been said countless times on this forum?

Have you even reached Rank 40 and RR 80?  Raided a City?

If any of those are no, then no no new content is needed atm.  Its been out 2 weeks lmfao.
