Aparently you haven't seen any footage of Darkfall. Not only is it set in the same time frame as most MMO's currently out there. But it has the worst graphics. I had better graphics on my Atari 2600.

You must ask yourself a question grasshopper. Is it that people want it to fail or is it that people have been so let down over the years that the just expect it to fail. To VERY different things.

Well the way I see it there are four possible reasons:
The "Vaporware" Crowd... These are people that have been crying "Vaporware" for so long that to admit it might be a good game at this point would be admitting defeat. So now they have switched to "It's gonna suck" just so they can save face for as long as possible. The Class Based Linear Cheerleader... These are people who are into the "flavor of the month" theme park MMO and the fact that something different that may be enjoyable is about to release scares the hell out of them. So they attack it out of fear of what it may become. The Anti-PvP Crowd... These people just hate PvP and people that enjoy PvP so they attack the game out of there misplaced hatred for that guy who ganked them all those years ago during there first PvP experience. The Standard Forum Troll... This is someone who sees a game that others are bashing so they jump in because in some warped way they think it makes them seem cool.
I think you'll find everyone who bashes Darkfall fits neatly into one of these four categories.

I wouldn't.... Why? Cuz it would get all the "FFA PVP W00tastic!!!!" outta my hair. Then maybe we could get someone to make a sandboxgame NOT run by griefers.
Don't write off a game that hasn't even come out yet. There are plenty of systems in place to make life for greifers very difficult.
But any such systems also takes the FFA PvP outta..eeh.. FFA PvP

So you want a sandbox with a rule of no one should be able to destroy his neighbours castle.
That is sandbox version 1.0.
DarkFall offers an entirely additional dimension a sandbox 2.0 so to speak.

I see threads on other sections of the website as well as on other forums of people who want darkfall to fail. Why is this? I could only think of positives from darkfall. People who enjoy sandbox mmos could play a type of game they havn't been able to enjoy for a while, and people who have never experienced a sandbox mmo can try it out.
Competitioning game fans and there developers comes here to bash Darkfall cause theyre afraid of the competition.
Might make the game they follow/develop less successful.

Yeah, Blazer fits quite nicely into category 4 of my list in my previous post in this thread. His post history speaks for itself. He jumps on the bandwagon anytime there is a thread with a lot of negative comments in it regardless of whats being discussed. To the point that he contradicts himself quite regularly.
