1. They need to do something to create chat on the server. Maybe make PVE more challenging so that people will at least say LFG? Or be able to add link loot into the chat so that people can buy and sell through chat? Yes, I have already tried to start conversations, but its always the same thing,
2. Add Anisotropic filtering and Antialiasing sliders to the user settings graphics tab. I am currently using these two through my graphics card software to override it. It works nice and the game runs smooth, but I have friends who don't have these features and won't play the game because of it.
If i had something i wish they change is to make it where a player could not roll need on an item if they cant use it. Getting annoying to loss rolls on items i actually would use to someone who char class cant even use the item. really defeats the purpose of need vs greed.
1. Turn friendly collision detection off because it is very annoying constantly tripping over team mates and doesn't work in a mmorpg, specially in RVR when you have giant crowds of people.
2. Turn autofacing off because is it sooo hard to ask for people to manually face their target?
1. Adds a level of strategy to the game. Instead of an opposing player running through the tank directly to the healler, the tank can use his body to shield the healer. WAR isn't the only one that uess it either. CoX has character collision and it was usefull in hard missions when the tank could block things like doorways to prevent squishies from dying, or at least attempt to. I believe EQ2 also uses character collison as well as auto facing. I personally couldn't stand it in WoW when a melee class would run through my mage and break my casting. Taking advantage of a game mechanic isn't skill and the collision allows for an added level of depth in combat that other games are missing.
If the tabletop game plays anything like Magenight then it would only make sence for collision to be present. Pieces aren't supposed be able to move through each other, and groups of pieces can be used to shield other pieces; at least that's how I would play Magenight.
2. No thank you. The only people that should have a problem with autofacing are the ones that want to be able to run around casters to break line of sight, or because they want to be able to melee kite other players. I really didn't like having it done to me and I know people didn't like having it done to them while I was playing WoW. It's frustrating and unfun when you can't play your toon because the other guy just runs around in a circle. It's not as simple as just manually turning your toons. As a BW I have abilities that allow me to take hits from a melee class and still be able to cast a spell with a reduced chance of interupt, so I can do things like cast a non instant spell while being hit; if you can run around me and I have to keep changing directions while attempting recast the spell without getting a no line of sight message then those abilities would be pretty useless.
I've seen some complaints about how things play in WAR, I don't think that everyone is understanding that the game is based off a preexisting game. I think everyone knows it is, but I don't think that everyone understands that it is. While liberties are always going to have to be made when porting a game to a dif. platform, it would be silly to completely diverge from the existing mechanics.
What they need to do is ban all the WoW fanbois who bashed WAR from day one now making suggests on how to fix the game... That's really what they need to do...
And circle strafing isn't skill.. Sorry. Go play a real skill based MMORPG and tell me how circle strafing does for you..
The friendly collison only applies in RvR/Scenario settings. It's realistic isn't it? Or are you not the type that complains that bows in games have no strings? The collision can be used tactically -- did you know that?
And i can't believe you consider these urgent when there are more urgent bugs and fixes that need to be taken care of.
If you wanna make it realistic then any ranged dps should get LOS issue whenver they have another player between them and their target. And make aoes hurt your allies too if they're in range. Otherwise they need to remove collisions between players, friendly or not completely.
There's a general chat channel for every area of a game....having an entire zone global chat how ever would suck major ass. Its quiet but then most of the talkign is giong on in teamspeak, vent, group chat, guild chat, warband chat. This is an MMORPG game I really don't want to hear more crybaby whining then I already do from stupid noobs to incompetent to figure out how to use the In Game User Manual so their questions on how to do things and where to go are already answered.
Please Refer to Doom Cat with all conspiracies & evil corporation complaints. He'll give you the simple explination of..WE"RE ALL DOOMED!

OK so you turn friendly collision off, then you have 10 blackorcs all stand where 2 or 3 normally would be in a choke point. One goes down, there's still another there, but you couldn't target him due to there being the other one right on top of him. Not to mention there's a push through thing where if you were healed after a few seconds you'd make it through the line, but you have to make it through several black orcs instead of one.
Too many things that could be exploited by turning friendly collision off. If they turn friendly off they'd have to turn enemy off.

I do not agree with the first one. If you can't navigate yourself through crowds, then you need lessons on how to press your directional keys... Remember, your opponent has to do it to. It is supposed to introduce strategic organization within your ranks.
Autofacing is something I agree with. They are trying to force static combat.. and no one really like boring combat. Most people that I face, I will move around. And 99% of those people will naturally react in a way to counteract my movement(instincts), instead of standing still and letting me look silly.
Thirdly. Item linking in chat would be nice. It's an inconvenience right now that I have to describe through vent or type out the specifics on an item. And my goodness, if I actually had to help someone compare two pieces and pick the best one... really annoying.
And another thing, allow everyone to send tells to everyone of the same faction. Why can't I send a tell to one of my guildmates who is in a scenario or different tier? How does that make any sense? Either disable tells, or make it possible to talk to everyone. What idiot at Mythic decided that we shouldn't be able to talk to people from other areas? How would that in any way be beneficial to the game?
1. remove all instancing so you can actually see and meet everyone playing on your server 2. add a significant death penalty, one that pisses you off so much you punch your computer
Lolwut? 'All the instancing?'
This is the WAR board, not the AoC one, muppet.
They do need to get rid of scenarios because they make RVR underpopulated.
I think they could just make the incentives for RvR better than the incentives for scenarios. As it is right now grinding scenarios is the fastest way to level and get renown. If they make it so in general you get more renown and exp from doing RvR then everyone will do RvR.

#2 Sorry to disapoint ya but I am leveling a sorceress and I am all for cancelling the autofacing. As it is now, if i get jumped by a melee, I just have to press a button and do nothing else, the game does it for me..
You know when the troll said it is a watered down wow clone? It is actually watered down.. not a wow clone but watered down. Beside there is no reason for it, if I am in melee range, i'm usually as good as dead anyway.

Try /1 mate
Doesn't help that some zones don't have a /1
Groovy.
Stupid thread seriously.. of all the things you come complain about this
dumb.
You can turn autofacing off by unchecking smart camera in your options
