Account Questions

I'm interested in playing Eve but have a couple of questions and had trouble finding answers at the site unless I'd register...mainly, I'm wondering what forms of payment they accept to buy the game client, and to pay monthly fees. Is Paypal acceptable or only credit cards?

Credit Card ,Debit Card ,Direct Debit ,Pay By Cash and EVE time codes.

EVE time codes can be bought via paypal from many sites

Ok sounds good about the time code...what about actually purchasing the client/download though? Can I just buy time codes after playing the free trial (and get all the expansions), or what do I need to do? It won't give me the payment info until I give them my address and stuff...

You can buy time codes after playing the free trial ,expansions are free and latest client contains all past expansions dont worry .And if you want to use game time card youll not lost free time from trial .

There is a patch tuesday ,server may restart several times so you warned, also skills train realtime ,always train a skill and put a long skill to train before quitting game .Go and open an account you dont need anything else,if you like you can upgrade from trial to payment account everytime you want

You have to pay $19.99 from EVE for the client and one month or $14.99 from Steam. I doubt that cost is covered by time cards. (Please correct me if I'm wrong.)

If you use time card youll get full time from time card no loss  ( + time from trial  if any left) .Youll pay 19.99 if you upgrade to paid account  with CC  (yes i paid 19.99 or 19.95 dont remember now)  from eve-online site ,not sure about other options .

Shattered Crystal also sell timecards and they're really good, so worth looking at if you don't know where to go.

Ack, now I'm confused....so what are all the fees, is this correct:

    1. I download the free trial that has all the expansions

    2. When the trial is over I can continue playing each month with only the time cards

Or am I missing something else?

As far as I understand it - you can use timecards to add extra timeto your TRIAL - but you do have to BUY the actual client in order to be able to USE skills/functions/etc which are prohibited on TRIAL accounts.

That could be difficult, since you don't pay for the client.

Another quick question: I am playing the trial now...if I decide after it's over, to take a break before getting a subscription, how long do I have before my trial character gets erased or anything like that?

  • jagd1jagd1 Member Posts: 281

never ,your char will stay forever . Btw if youll give a break after trial set a long skill before trial ends .It will train until skill finished  and when you comeback it will be finished
