The game has great potential. However the player base sucks in skill! I have played many servers, Order and Destruction, and there is no skill anywhere. Every Scenario is the same, zerg zerg zerg. All everyone does is follow each other like mindless zombies.
I love the game! I just hate how nobody has a clue how to PVP.

What are you talking about? I have seen some zerging but most of the time people are actually using their heads. At least on Phoenix Throne
I can already see this topic going into a flaming war, haha. Why even say that, eh.
I know what you're saying. Players on Warhammer have no skill. They don't use their brains and don't strategize on how to kill. Well, I think it's fun how pvp is on Warhammer. I'm only in tier 2 atm...so haven't really experience the real pvp yet. But, RVR is fun because I just run around and heal and try to help the person carrying the flag...it's not called a flag I forgot what it's called, haha. I just run around healing whoever needs it and try to keep in groups with all the players. Sometimes we get really spread out...but eh. PVP is what it is. There will always be big groups in pvp, in any group. Zergging....well it's 1 big group vs the other big group.
Why do you think War is seeing so many subs so fast? War is a pvp game tailor made for people who arent good at pvp. Same as Wow was, player skill is not a requirement to succeed here, thats why my 6 year old nephew kills peopel all the time
It takes time. You have to remember in other games PvP wasn't done until higher levels and by then people have groups and guilds that they play with.
Since in WAR you can start PvP from level 1, a lot of people go in solo and just do whatever everyone else is doing, which isn't always best.
The game hasn't been out that long and not many people know the ins and outs of the gameplay yet.
I just think people need more time. The early tiers are to get people accustomed to RvR, while tier 4 is where all your skill comes into play and where everyone is on the same playing field and fighting it using strategies and tactics.
EDIT: to Mcpoopypants (man that was fun to write) the game is easy to have fun with, but difficult to master. Sure people are doing scenarios and open rvr, but most aren't very good at it. It takes time and effort to get good at your class, especially if you're playing one of the healers that has to balance damage with healing. There's a lot to take in, and it's initially fun and easy to get a hold of, but it's very difficult to master.

I live to fight, and fight to live.
hah I never looked at it in that light before. I stil like the game. but ive never hit the keyboard as much as in this game! haha stupid people reallllllly drive me insane!!!
Wait till you hit tier 2 and tier 3. People actually learn how to play they classes then... At least, most of them.
Put it this way: If you aren't playing your class optimally by tier 4...you'll never make it to tier 4 anyway.
And McPoopy, checkthis500 said: "Easy to have fun, hard to master". I think this is a good thing. Any PvP system in a game (where you are supposed to be having fun) that you must master to enjoy would have few people playing it.
Um, I've been over 2012 rating in arenas of WoW, gotten rank 13 in WoW and played FPS competitively for 5 years. Come fight my Engineer. I will be so fast you won't know what hit you.
PuGs will always suck big time in any RvR.
Besides, lets not forget most people are still learning.
Guilds, alliances and steady groups of friends are the tools that will improve PvP. Its hard to hope for a PUG to be efficient in RvR when they probably not even in some voice system.
I agree with you totally on this. I ran a pug tier 2 yesterday with 3 shaman and not one of them was over 8k healing. lol You get people who want to do their own thing in pugs whereas in guild groups people follow the role they need to fill and the whole group benefits. I don't see why healers try to turn into dpsers in these scenarios and then the whole group gets destroyed. Work as a group, win as a group. Used to have the same problem in AV/AB in WoW. People wanted to do their own thing and ultimately the entire group lost.
That's not the game, its the players. Get a guild and work together = win.
