"ability not ready yet"

I'm a rank 28 WH and this is really winding me up.  Repel blasphemy and confess!! in particular moves that work perhaps 5% of the time.

This is nothing to do with me spamming other abilities at the same time or on cooldown, sometimes I have to sit there hitting repel blasphemy for a minute before anything happens.

Do any other classes have this problem? The fact that some of my most important pvp abilities don't even work is pretty gamebreaking if you ask me.

For some odd reason on my Zealot I've had resurrection not work before for a player. They where sitting there asking for a rez and it wasn't working. Most of the time it works though. Infact, there was only 2 times it didn't work. I hate when I'm sitting there casting and my casting bugs out and my zealots hand starts shaking and looks like a retard, lol. But eh, just another small flaw with the game at the moment.

  • Yes it really sucks for SM because of the way moves are chained together.  Very easy to lose track of which stage you are in.

This problem, and many more, are caused by the way the game handles the graphics cache. It's not updating often enough (if at all), and the longer you play, the worse it gets. For me, this should have had priority for launch instead of bugged quests and CE faces.

In fact, most UI/graphics problems are caused by this.

Not knowing intimately the engine used in WAR, I can't offer anything other than the hope/certainty that it's being worked upon.

Think of it as a memory leak for your graphics card :)

Haven't other games had memory leaks in the past that really affected the graphics and it never got fixed?  I was thinking a memory leak was causing all this memory usage while running the game. It's horrible. =/ It causes lag for my pc and my pc doesn't lag for any other games I currently play. Lineage 2 and COD.

Ahh, cool. I'm sure they are working on it as I see it as a pretty huge issue. WIll enjoy pvp ten fold when they rectify this.

I hope so because for me personally this is my number 1 gameplay issue.  Also i think it affects some other things.  As I get strange graphic lag at time  Ishould not, like when I enter a public quest and you get that huge text spam.  Also there is some sort of progressive graphics lag that seems memory leak-like that gets fixed by a re-log especially in large battle or zone transitions.

Oh definitely, but I'm an optimistic sort of fellow.

Yes it does affect more than just clicking abilities.

Without boring the arse off of you, I'll try and summarise :)

The graphics card gets overloaded with images that it doesn't need, so the main computer memory steps in to try and help out. Sooner or later, the main computer processor gets involved as well and before you can blink, your system is overloaded.

The easiest way to see this in action is when you exit the game and your system slows right down as it gets rid of all the game information and returns to desktop mode.

I hate exiting the game on Warhammer tbh. Even that is a fucking chore. I go to exit game and it says 20 seconds, WTF. Exit now. So I wait, then it takes forever to exit the game...and I mean forever. After the 20 seconds is up it's sitting there closing and it's lagging like hell going to my desktop. Screen goes black, everything lags up on my desktop. Quite annoying.  Probably one of the worst games I've ever played as far as this issue goes. Minimizing it to read an I-m on xfire or something...wow that's a pain in the ass. I hope they fix it soon where it won't use so much memory usage. Sometimes I'll minimize the game and CTRL ALT DEL Warhammer. It's faster than exiting the game from inside the game, lol.

This is game breaking for me, I'm seriously considering cancelling my account. I'll play scenarios just fine, then after another my system starts to slow down, after another it's impossible to play without restarting the game. That topped off with today's 2+ hour queues I'm pissed off. Didn't seem as bad in the lower tier areas/scenarios though.

If this issue isn't sorted by the end of the month when my time runs out, I won't be subbing. Shame, it's a great game, just let down by these silly leaks which the CB players should have hammered Mythic for.

As you progress in levels, the spell effects become more elaborate.

I understand why you call this game breaking for you. Why do you think I'm spending so much time on forums helping people out instead of playing? lol

Sounds just about right as far as symptoms.  Strange thing is some newer setups have it worse than mine which is only medium good (overclocked 7800 GTX) as far as the lag part.

My Zealot does as well. It seems to happen more often with my Mark Buff ability and Morale abilities.
