Basic questions

DoctorRatDoctorRat Member Posts: 54

I looked into the game only a bit, so the questiomns I ask are probably going to sound quite stupid.

When I first saw the game, and some basic descriptions, the game sounded like it was going to be a virtual battle field... The classic clash between good and evil gods, and that the armies were mostly going to be player characters. Is this true?

On combat, does combat work like planetside, in which you click to attack, or does it work like, say, Everquest, in which you iniate combat and occasionally use special powers?

In this game, will a weak leveled newbie have a chance at a higher-leveled character? I could never stand games in which it's simply an issue of level and super equipment, ie: A level cruncher.

What races does this game offer.

Does this game use a class system.

And the final thing, will there be any PvM?

Thanks

    Yes.

The combat system is classical in this type of game, it will not be FPS based, but on an original combos system.

I believe so, as you get experience if you kill higher level players, so it must be duable.

What races does this game offer.

    Tallest:
    - ½ Troll
    - ½ Orc
    - Braves

    Middle:
    - Human
    - ½ Elf
    - High Elf
    - Wood Elf
    - Dark Elf

    Smallest:
    - Dwarf
    - Gnome
    - Lutin
    - Faery

Does this game use a class system.

    Yes there are 14 classes.

And the final thing, will there be any PvM?

    Yes.

No questions are ever stupid. The game CAN be a virtual battlefield if that's how you want to play the game but the game does not have to be played that way.  The game can also be very social and political with great roleplay. Be a noble and develop your land, run events and design mini-quests to bring settlers to you land. Interact with other clans and nobles to plan defensive strategies (economic and military). Since the game also has a player based economy be a crafting tycoon making items and selling them in the right markets via hired NPC vendors. Be an explorer and find those mines in the wilderness and sell the location to the crafters. Smuggle goods between the Dark and Light sides (devs have said some items will have to be traded between the sides).

The sides are not really good vs evil but the constructive part of mana vs the destructive part of mana. You can be good or evil within each alignment.

Combat is more like Everquest (and a lot of other games) with special attacks that use mana so you must manage your mana use as well.  The game is divided into 10 realms that also divide the level ranges of the characters so you have 10 games in one. Each realm has different MOBs and different available skills. The skills limit the weapons you can use. Within each realm all characters stand a chance in combat with each other so you can participate fully in the game right from the start. Characters belonging to a higher realm risk an attack by a low level character's god if he attacks a low level effectively taking him out of lower realm play. So you can be a power leveler or not, depending on your play style.

Lots of player vs MOBs will exist both intelligent and otherwise. If you take out an NPC orc camp they will not come back their. If you leave that camp alone or do not find it they will become more powerful. The BIG BAD MOB, Dragoon (controller of dragons) has dissapeared but some wild dragons still exist and he may be behind their actions. The other basic MOB classes are:

Birds, Mammals, Insects, Reptiles, Animated Plants, Undead characters, Spirits, Giants, and Demons.

Basically, Dark /= Evil, Light /= Good.

    ("/=" doesn't equal)
