      Yep, you guys just do not know how good you have it, sitting in a class room 8 hours a day , in the air conditioner listening to some teacher run her or his mouth off..

     I have been out of school for 4 years now and I wish I could go back...working 40+ hours a week is much worse then going to school every day lol...atleast in school they arnt going to call you on the weekend to come in for a test .

    I'm with Lordthrawn and Torx. I put in 40 or more hours a week of work and I don't get the summer off. I also wish I could go back to college or high school.

     I'd much rather be working than at school. Working you get paid. School you waste 8 hours of your day mostly learning stuff that will never benifit you in the future.

    yeah but working also means that you have bills to pay(insurance, car, house blah blah blah) and generally have more responsibility than kids in school.  So as I said in before I would love to be back in school and not paying bills.image

    Many of you seem to forget that while in school you have other things to do BESIDES school itself. And that it's longer than many of you remember. For instance, just the curriculum of school for me (regular hours) pulls in 35 hours a week. Add in extra-curricular practice and such, and it comes out to approximately 48 hours a week. Then you get the joy of homework (even more so when you're in advanced classes) which can pull up to 60 hours a week combined. And these aren't estimates, i just did all this math.

    Then, many people in school have jobs as well to pay for their cars and insurance and such, so you can easily tack on even MORE hours of work to that. I personally don't have a job, so I can't whine about that, but that also does mean that unless dirt becomes an acceptable currency, i can barely buy anything at all.

    Maybe when I'm 'all grown up' I'll look back on it a little differently, but i'm sure it'll be about the friendships and the crazy times instead of the lower amount of work I have to do. People seem to forget that school wasn't all just fun and games, and you had a serious amount of labor to put into it.

    Of course, this all depends on the level of classes you took and how much you cared.

    hmmm my school begins at 7th of september so i gues i still have some time with you guys left lol naa nevermind i am doing ICT so i will be on my computer at school to so when i got nothing to do ....mmorpg.com it will be image

     

    but anyways normaly i am only online on mmorpg.com at the hour of 23.00/24.00 so thats when everybody in holland is in bed so i gues school wont bother me that mutch image

    the 7th of sept also, but i really am sick of working with my dad this summer, and being a senior will pwn cuz all i have is psych, physics, and algebra 2. the rest are just study classes or IT.

    EDIT: School starts the 7th for me too.

    I'll be entering 12th grade, so I will be a senior in HS. I'm not sure why some people are claiming it is fun, I am extremely stressed out and the year hasn't even started.

    I have to take SAT's. Score is crucial here, must do good. If I don't get a 1400+ I may just very well die.

    College. Yes, that little thing. It's even more stressful when your parents never set up a fund for you. So now not only do I have to select the top colleges I want to go to, I have to apply for just about every 3rd party scholarship possible.

    Classes. Eh, should be obvious. Unlike most I will be taking some very hard courses this year, probably the hardest yet. Why? I want to look good for the colleges. :p I will admit, I do have one Teacher Assistant class. Hey, I need atleast one break...

    Senior project. I've never heard of another school do this, but let me tell you.. it will suck. In order to graduate it is required that every senior do something called a senior project. What is it? Community service, basically. Sounds easy, I am sure. I wouldn't care if that's all it was, but then they had to throw in the 20+ minute speech on what you learned, and many rather lengthy (And I don't mean a few pages) page papers to while you do it. I forgot how many hours you had to put in, but it will not be fun. Or maybe it will be, but the work along with it wont be.

    Those are my main concerns. Yep, hmm.. should be a fun year. Not.

    Ah that kind of sucks you have to do a senior project to graduate. Never heard of that one before. Most kids at my school either don't graduate or have a hard enough time trying to make up the classes they faild. And also the missed school that they have.  I can't imagine anyone at our school who would be willing to do a senior project.  And as for me I only go to class for 2 periods a day. No reason to make this year hard, especially when WoW will be coming out. ROFL even though I have 2 classes a day I have 3 AP classes. Although geman ap,science ap and WSU(collage)communications shouldn't be hard.

    School starts for me in a week, the 30th. Gotta say, I liked my job this summer more than school. It was only 30 hours a week, but I worked with a friend from school. I just stocked shelves and delivered beer at a beer shop. Only minimum wage, but I don't have as many bills as you out of school workin folk. My parents make me pay half the electrical and half the internet bill, adds up to about 80 bucks per month. Made a hefty profit, my rig is about as good as I want it to be.
