Look at Fallen Earth, either here or at the official site. Look specifically at the Questions of the Week threads, as those are direct answers from the devs to questions posed by proscpective customers of Fallen Earth about the game.

It doesn't matter what they try to do to fix SWG no one would come back. Especially if they were able to go

back before all the fixes. I played SWG for 3 years from launch until i had enough with SONY lies.

That is the real problem is that SONY drove everyone away with their sad attempts to fix the game.

All that had left the game won't ever trust SONY again even on another title run by them.

Besides KOTOR online is coming out evryone will wait for that.

A friend of mine that played Ryzom said it has a nice skill system and immersive world like we had in pre-cu.  Ryzom is or has re-opened I believe after being shut down for a while.  I also think EVE has a skill system, am I getting that right?  Also EVE is in the sci-fi genre, but focuses on space, not a ground game.

I find that City of Heroes reminds me of good days in SWG, but it's more like the CU version than pre-cu because it has levels.  It's got great character build options.  I have made myself a Katana/regeneration scrapper that plays much like my old TKM/Master Doc character.  Great combat skills and animations are in this game.  They've also introduced a basic crafting/selling system where players can create enhancements for their superpowers and new costume pieces for their suits.  Team combat reminds me of good days in SWG.  Lots of player interdependence with all the possible builds.  Even so, you can make yourself a good solo build too--very balanced that way.

I've been playing this game for a couple of years now, so I know more about it than the others.  I have heard really good things about them too though.  I'm also waiting to see what StarTrek Online will look like.  I've enjoyed playing Cryptic games.  I hope this one's a winner too.
