Ok, I have read many reviews on this game and they seem to balance out as far as good and bad goes.
I have been playing MMo's for years now and was wondering if this game has any new features that make it better than the rest, mabye not even better just diffrent(is the PvP more advanced, are the quests not as dull) stuff like that.
Just give me your reaction after playing the game, but try not to just flame it point out why you didn't like it or you liked it alot.

I voted in your poll, but I'm not writing another F'ing review. I've written several already for people who started these same threads. If you've truly read the reviews, then you know what's different and new.

Preferred Playstyle: Roleplay/adventurous, in a sandbox game.
In short, it's a great game, if you're into the MMORPG genre, I'd say it's worth the 50$ just to try it out.

I plan on playing it once a trail is introduced, as I've wasted to much money on games that really didn't appeal to me.

The only thing that is "new" are the Public Quests. This means you are in an area where anyone can join. There is a lot written about them and I can see some issues in the future if there aren't enough people in an area.

The only thing that is "new" are the Public Quests. This means you are in an area where anyone can join. There is a lot written about them and I can see some issues in the future if there aren't enough people in an area.
I can see that happening. I see a big movement climbing through the ladder, so there are some gray areas where you can only get certain PQs in prime hours. I can see that when people start hitting max level and having enormous RVR battles, there will be severe lacking in lower level PQs if the end game is good enough.
Unless Alts are created or the community increases 10 fold (which noone should rule out) .
However there is another big change... PQs aren't the only groups that allow you to join, pretty much most public groups in any area allow you to join yourself into them... PQ or not.
0 new features.. every game before this had same..
sieges static.. some say its new.. even how it is.. aoc have exactly same static sieges.. which are boring.. sieges engines are useless in most of the part.. apart ram and burning oil..
pvp is same grind fest by 30 lvl you will see that, players who can deal a lot of dmg will leave your grp in scenarios and as i would say they leach all points from you.. as they cant solo win scenario
yet they get much bigger reward than rest..
90% of population doesnt do anything apart renown grinding past 25 lvl.. 9 out of 10 wont do instances or pqs.. as they need more renown for those epics in the end.. noone else matters..
world pvp is boring.. we (order ) controled every t3 zone for 2-3 days.. yawning around.. then big band of chaos came and took every of them.. cuz there was noone to defend againg such zerg.. and it just ends too quick.. not to mention medium vs high/full is same as 1 v 2 ... nowhere near fair..
quests.. while 10-20 quests are half asses.. 20-30 some can be fun.. 30+ are totally crappy quests..
so far with quests this game is big let down and failure..
there are plenty of performance issues.. bugged coalision detection ruining RUINING it actually does.. wake up.. pvp for tanks/melee class..
and biggest factor low player caps on server.. 1k v1k = 2k total cap.. on 2008 game is extremly low and poor.. you will know everyone .. and their granny.. while thats good thing.. it will get boring in long run.. fighting same orc.. healing same tank.. ambushing same zealot..
unless you really long for new game.. and have extra 50 bucks you wont regret spending even for 5 hours of game.. go ahead.. if not i would not recomend this game

Ok, seeing as you have played MMO's for years I would like to think that you know that reviews, previews, screenshots, videos and heresay are all well and good, but they do not come close to trying for yourself.
Just buy it and try it, £30 mate and 1 month free, I've paid £35 for offline games that last me a week.

The post above me is a classic example of mmoRPG burnout. Nothing will please this customer. But as he is unaware of his burnout and so blames games for being "boring" and unoriginal, and thus no fun for you or anyone.
Remember what an mmoRPG game actualy is and what it is not.
I personally love the game. After coming from AoC, with a half-implimented PvP system, I found the RvR and Scenarios refreshing. I like a good PvP, but a half-assed PvP with no real motivation behind it besides "pwning" the competition.
I'm pretty happy with WAR. You get a good guild, couple mates to play, and you're set for a looooooong time. But be prepared to have at least a little patience, since you might find RvR hard in the beginning of the game.

Most fun I have had in a while, enjoying WoW as well, but I love the public quests, RVR, and questing, keeps it interesting!
