customization of characters

is it just me or has anyone else found the game to be lacking on the customization aspect? i mean im sure hardcore gamers especially guys are swooning all over the game for its magnificent gameplay experience but how come i havent heard any ladies complain about the customization aspect of the game? as far as i know customization is merely limited to 4 different varieties of hair face etc. isnt it a bit limited for such an epic and culturally and geographically accurate centered game?

I don't see the point of having a bunch of choices of hair and stuff when past lvl 30 you will be wearing hoods/helms that completely cover it anyway. just my opinion though.

Maybe the developers haven't implemented other choices for customization yet,  choosing to concentrate on more important issues like stamina or more balanced gameplay. I wouldn't worry too much about customization though, since you all look alike in armor anyway. The different kinds of mercenaries more than make up for customization. And I doubt the face of a character really matters when you also have 8 or more npcs to control. It's really just a minor detail in the end.

i guess you guys are right, it wouldnt really matter in the end considering the amount of diversity in costumes and characters as level up... however  it still wouldnt hurt if the game devs focused a bit more on the customization aspect of the game its basically one of the growing trends in MMORPGs .. although it would not matter in the end,, its a good come on for noobs especially girls to start picking up the game

custmoizing your characters by equipping them different equips pays off fn the latter period of the game.. because in the beginning of the game you can hardly see the difference of your armor from other.. but if yu reach  lvls 30 and above you will see that most of these equipment change your appearance...

the limited customization aspect of the game is actually also what i first noticed about it. since it's part of the graphics aspect, as what has been said above, maybe at the moment, the devs are focusing more on content than on graphics. this focus may also make the game compatible even for non-gaming computers so more people could play it.

regardless, if your aiming for a unique-looking character then maybe you can opt for unique item/armor combos.

Well, it will be quite a good idea if we can also customize our own character, I mean is that there will be uniquness for everybody. It can also encourage everyone to dress up their character fancy.

Most probably, they will add more customization prety soon. The character creation i admit gives you very limited choices. The sets though are a lot but can have more individual items and not sets for uniqueness. people can mix and match more.

its not just in appearance. Most archers, spearmen, gunners etc all follow a same 'build'. So you have a whole bunch of guys who look the same, and have the same skills and use the same placement of mercenaries. Anyways its free.

You can customize the apperance of your main character but not your mercs.. the only thing that has a change of appearance in your merc is the weapon they use and the shield they carrying...
