I'm having fun playing Warhammer. Games like this are fun. But, I'd like to see some games with no instances, where everyone on your server is in the world, not off in some instance, all the time.
Instances are nice, because they solve a couple of problems.
1. Spawn camping. You are doing a quest, or just want to kill a boss mob with a nice lewt drop, and you get to the bottom of the dungeon and hte boss is camped with players waiting in line to kill it. That's a pain in the arse.
2. PvP even match ups. Sometimes you want to fight an even battle, instead of the zerg deciding the winner. Instances can let players que up for an even fight.
Solutions? Add more dungeons or copies of dungeons, instead of instances. If dungeon number 1 is camped, go to dungeon number 2. This is different from an instance, since anyone can go to any dungeon at any time, just like any other place in the game world. If all players decide to go camp dungeon #2 they can. But, I like this better than instances, where you are cut off from teh game world.
As far as PvP goes, well use terrain and maps to spread out the battlefield, but basically you don't get even match ups, unless they are just an accident. The Zerg may win, and that's just to bad.

In essence is that not just a multi player instance?
I mean one dungeon one world is just that.
You add copies it becomes an EXACT definition of the word/term instance.
Only now it's an open instance and no longer just a simple instance.

What you are describing is exactly what an instance is. A copy of a dungeon gets created when the first fills up?
AoC is just4 like that. Small world, but everywhere you go.. it's instanced. That's actually why I quit..
