If I were going to quit, it would most likely be because of the monotony. Maybe it will improve when more players hit cap, but I can't see it. I hope I'm wrong.

    Savage 2

Try it, if you love fantasy drop in casual PvP this game owns WAR.

It's not a persistant world RP mmo, but then it's not like the people who play WAR play it for that anyhow ;)

Ooooh. Thanks mate, I'll give that a go.

The ability to run a game on linux is a damn nice inclusion :)

That remind me of my first day on the 18, chapter 1 to 3 there was no problem but chapter 4?  No thx, destruction all around the camp, passing the zerg to get to my quest zone was impossible on my open server.

dumb...if this was a problem then open rvr isnt for you...try core, much more enjoyable, ganking is for WOW.

disappointed overall - the solo questing is just lame, the game doesn't play nearly as smooth as it should (compared to WoW and well.. all other mmo's I've played - CoV, Eve, EQ, WoW, AO)...

I will most likely be canceling my sub when my free month runs out. The game just falls flat after the first couple weeks. The game just seems to lack any real hook to keep me interested in it long term.

    I didn't quit cause I love it!!!

I have decided that I won't be subscribing at the end of my 30 days.. I know I've been defending it too, but two weeks has been enough time for me.  I'm in the process of writing a fairly long review about my experiences that I'll probably post in a few days, but for now I'll just say that I have absolutely zero attachment to the game world, to my realm, to my character or to anything else in WAR, and I don't see that changing even after the game has matured, not unless they make a lot of design changes.

I cancelled not because of anything wrong with WAR in particular; it's a fun game and I enjoyed playing it. I just find that, like WoW, LoTRO and other "post-WoW" MMOs, there's something missing that just keeps me from getting sucked in.

So... It's not so much a WAR thing for me, it's a "Newer MMOs in general" thing.

    +1 post, I didn't quit either :)

Why? Because Mythic have done a great job of bringing the Warhammer world to life. I remember spending a week painting a troll, and I have just spent a evening killing 'em.

Performance issue and crashes? Built two new PC and the thing runs like a dream.

It is a much better game than I expected, and a much better game than a lot of negative posters would have reader believe.

Is it fun fighting other players? Of course, every fight is different and Mythic has made it easy for PVP/RvR fights to take place no matter what your level/rank.

Do I think that Mythic is go to improve this game? I have every confidence that this game is just going to get better and better. I am not saying it is perfect, I have a few complaints myself, but I do feel that this is going to be a "new" standard for MMO to reach for.

I cancelled after 2-weeks although I was a WAR fanboy. Horrible game.

  • Syyth007Syyth007 Member Posts: 250

Just wondering big boss.. What happened within the past 5 days, when you last posted you enjoyed War, and now, that you consider it to be horrible?  To go to one extreme to the next in such a short amount of time kind of baffles me.  As for myself, I haven't cancled War, and am enjoying it so far, shortcomings and all.

Re-subbed for another month and still going strong in the game!

Anyone besides me, see that this poll is very slanted one way?

I play on a server that has Med order and I find people to do RvR with and PQ's. Ive had nothing but fun with this game and I haven't canceled yet and don't intend on doing so anytime soon. The real fun hasen't even started yet.

    cancelling.

not because its a bad game, but because it just seems so dead. hope they can fix the issues the game has,as tier 1 was was a blast. Public quests are awesome, rvr is awesome, pve is ..ok,but theres too much emphasis on instanced pvp and unlike they claimed, you cannot level through pvp..unless they meant doing tor annoc 25 times a day,in which case, spot on!

cant really be bothered doing the same 2 senarios over and over for another 10 levels  and im very worried that people will scenario grind RR80 at tier 4  :(

Not a bad game, just not a great game either, it's an average sort of game with one or two nice ideas thrown in.

Boring game, that's all I have to say.

  • danobidanobi Member Posts: 11

I won't be subbing. Started in OB and did the headstart thing... Too much attempted WoW killing, not enough innovation. I fear we're going to see this in pretty much every MMO going forward until someone small and agile comes along to shake things up.

    Poor soulless WAR.
