Found this gem of a print. Obama looks to be much older than eight when he was PALLING around with terrorists eh? http://chronicle.uchicago.edu/971106/justice.shtml Character DOES matter. Who your hang with DOES matter. Who you call your friends speaks to character at the heart. 1997... oh ya...he was only 8 then alright. LOL edit: Looks like Palin was TELLING IT RIGHT!
(couldn't help myself lol)
I agree with you on this one Faxxer. They both are guilty of having questionable associations with people. It's kind of sickening actually, it is starting to look more and more like we are screwed either way.
I don't see Obama as a savior. He's a politician and while he'll be a significant change from the assclown assministration we've got now, frankly I don't think he'll push hard enough to fix a lot of broken things. Like the mess on Wall Street created by deregulation. Like tending to our broken system of providing health care. He'll make a huge impact on our image abroad, which will be a great improvement over how it stands now. The fact is that Obama/Biden will spend nearly all their time over the next four years cleaining up the mess made by the deserting coward and Darth Cheney. But a savior? Hardly. I just know he won't be as damaging as the current pack of theives or the ones offered up by the Grampy/Trampy ticket.
It's still amazing to me that you spout that shit. I got a little newsflash for you... FOX NEWS ALERT!
The DEMOCRAT controlled HOUSE AND SENATE have a 10% approval rating. (can you grasp that?)
And you want MORE democrats in office? HUH? ARE YOU SHITTING ME?
What you're ignoring (and this hardly surprises me at all) is that the discontent with the Congress is that it's been unable to act due to the razor thin majority in the Senate that cannot push forward action contrary to the Deal Leader's foot stamping. Republlican obstinancy and blocking of important legislation is what is causing the unhappiness with Congress. To be honest, the timidity of the Democratic leadership in taking action against the criminal administration is another factor in the discontent with Congress.
Which is why it's highly likely that the Democrats will pick up at least seven seats in the Senate this election cycle, and 10 to 20 additional seats in the House. With some luck, and more Republican fecklessness, it's possible that President Obama will have a filibuster proof working majority in the Senate, and you'll see approval ratings of Congress rise as they can get to work with the Executive in at least starting to undo some of the damage inflicted by GOP dominance from 2001 to 2007.
Your beloved Dear Leader has insured Democratic domination for a generation. For the vast majority of Americans, GOP policies simply do not work.

Agree or disagree, that is the question.
1) I strongly disagree that this was solely or mostly the fault of the republicans.
2) I agree that you are right about Bush and the GOP pretty much handing this over to the Democrats.
3) I disagree that Obama and/or the Democrats will have more than one term, if that, for various reasons that may or not be his fault. Obama is going to get blamed for allllllll of the crap that is going to hit the fan in the next 4 years and I seriously doubt that he (or McCain) will be able to handle it any better than Bush handled the last 8 years.

I'm only going to comment on this once, then you'll be rid of me.
Barack Obama had no connections to the Bill Ayers affiliated with a terror organization. The Bill Ayers Obama was connected to was a college professor, a respected citizen in the community, a person who's volunteer work had been praised by the mayor of Chicago, and a person who won a "citizen of the year award". They served together on two boards that worked for impoverished communities and helped usher in education reform.
Why is it so hard for conservatives to understand that rational people can condemn the violent acts of someone's past and still offer praise for their good works of the present. I would think the party who likes to claim they carry the christian torch would understand this.

Now, back to the economy, Iraq, and health care!
The problem is that you can't condemn a person's actions and move forward if that person is proud of what they did and doesn't think it was wrong.
Sure Bill Ayers might be a college professor now but he is a college professor that believes that he was right to set those bombs.
How can you associate with someone who believes that it was okay to blow stuff up and not be ashamed of it when he is older?
In my opinion this would be a completely different story if Bill Ayers had came out saying he was sorry about his poor decisions he made as a younger man.

i watched some footage of obama today, walking to a microphone.
he had this swagger, this cocky swaying-relaxed loose , disco frenzy swagger.
it annoyed the hell out of me.
