Who is Scorn?

Scorn started out as a group of online friends who loved to PvP and roleplay. The founding members of Scorn are former members in the PvP section of a very recognized heavy RP/PvE/PvP guild on the Twisting Nether server of World of Warcraft. As the group’s focus was solely PvP, they decided to make their own guild to which other like-minded roleplayer PvPers soon followed. Scorn has turned its attention to Warhammer Online and the promise of an unparalled PvP and RP experience offered through RvR and Warhammer lore. However, the current player base of Scorn come from a variety of MMO's, not just WoW.

Scorn is an evil PvP/RP guild. From an RP perspective, Scorn is a fellowship of proven fighters united by one absolute goal: domination. Its purpose is to assimilate any who would join them and annihilate all who would oppose them. There is no room for the weak. There is no middle ground. In this age, Scorn’s objective is the complete extermination of the Order races and the spread of Destruction to all corners of the Warhammer world.

Scorn is not for the soft of heart or the benevolent. It is for the hardened, merciless, remorseless warriors who aim for nothing short of supremacy. While its members may find amity within its ranks, all outsiders are seen as either a resource to be used or an enemy to be killed.

The question is not whether the soldiers of Scorn have the strength or perseverance to achieve their goal, but whether you have the fortitude to survive among them.

The only alternative is death.

Who is Scorn looking for?

Ideally, we would like people who really love both PvP and RP.

If you are a great PvPer who respects RP and would like to learn RP, talk to us.

If you are a great RPer who would like to learn to be a great PvPer, talk to us.

If you already are a great RPer and PvPer, by all means, talk to us!

However, if you are just looking for gear or an easy ride to and through end-game content, then Scorn is not for you.

What is PvP like in Scorn?

As was done successfully in World of Warcraft, Scorn will run regular premade parties and warbands in scenarios and world RvR, with weekly scheduled events. Ventrilo is used to coordinate our efforts and is required of all members for listening to directions at the very least.

What is RP like in Scorn?

Several Scorn have lengthy RP stories and journals from their WoW characters on our website as well as other RP websites and will continue their storytelling in WAR. Some members play in a fully-immersed RP style, while others RP when possible in game, mostly in real-time guild chat or /say with people from other guilds.

Scorn expects all /say, /shout, and /guild to be In-Character (IC). Party and warband chat, whispers, and regional or trade chat are either IC or Out-Of-Character (OOC) depending on the need. Scorn will maintain an OOC channel for non-RP chat in game.

Scorn operates a Ventrilo server and Ventrilo is OOC.
