Ok, i had enough of these people doing it to this game and every game out there. I mean all games have goods points and bad points. WoW isnt even perfect. These people work hard on these games and all you can do is complain.

"Now WoW on teh other hand, is the same thing mindless lvling, cant take over capital cities, graphics look like a kids game to be honest"
Indeed
I’m not sure when gamers decided that "There can be only one" despite the fact that it’s completely untrue.
Also, where did all the armchair developers come from that can make better games I wonder?
What ever happened to this thing called a “Discussion”?
That, and yes, everyone has forgotten that people make games.

your kinda beating a dead horse here. People find a lot of pleasure out of trash talking games they dont play. there are people that give good examples of flaws in games and stuff. But most of the time people feel the need to trash a game they dont play and hype the one they are playing because they feel the one they are playing is in some way superior and whatever. Just play the game you like and thats it.
Yeah but sometimes devs or game core aren't what matters. I'm angry at Blizzard for being a greedy company and never enforcing server rules and letting brats spoil all chat channels for all months i was playing there and not giving us competent GMs but automated bullshit answers three hours after I asked something. Yep I'm bitching around about them, they didn't do what was right, what i paid a subscription for.
yeah but as long wow has arena and war is not all mature pvpiers will stay in w o w =]
This from the same guy who said War WILL be great.. before it even came out. He's a fanboy yet he hates trolls, even though fanboys and trolls are the SAME THING
The best thing to do to Trolls is to put them on Ignore and start a new topic about something constructive.
Like for instance "Has anyone seen the Dungeon in the Teir 1 Dwarf/Orc RvR area?"
To get in the dungeon you have to kill an opposing faction within the radius of the dungeon.
Really, the reason people make such negative posts is because you guys are selfish asshats. All you care about is that there's a game for you, while all the people that want depth and challenge in a game are left with nothing but EVE. If you don't like EVE (for whatever personal reason), but you want depth, immersion and challenge...you're shit out of luck.
People want games like WAR to fail, because it's just another game based on the same philosophies as WoW: simple, easy, accessible to everyone.
If people had more options, they wouldn't care about your stupid shallow game where you pretend you're good at "PvP" and claim "innovation" for over glorified grinds like PQ's.

Dude... QFT... Couldn't have said it better myself.
Tried: LotR, CoH, AoC, WAR, Jumpgate Classic
Played: SWG, Guild Wars, WoW
Playing: Eve Online, Counter-strike
Loved: Star Wars Galaxies
Waiting for: Earthrise, Guild Wars 2, anything sandbox.

True. And all the elitist super-gamers who know better than anyone else what a good game is and who are better gamers because they like other games than the majority of people could play in their own little game and everybody would be happy. Ahhh...what a lovely dream.
Which Final Fantasy Character Are You?
Final Fantasy 7
This game bored me before the download even finished. After seeing the animations I unistalled it.
Probably a good game but going back in time with graphics/animations doesn't help me get over the point and click gameplay.
Meh, I say spend more time enjoying the game than defending it. Who cares what others think.
Playing: Tera, BF3, ME3
Waiting on: Guild Wars 2

For real this guy hit it on the head. Im so tired of peopel who prefer skill and depth and risk vs reward to be known as "elitists" but w/e sound smuch better then "carebear"
I agree with you 100% (after checking you'r posting history first).
The only people more annoying than people who BLINDLY hate WAR just to be non-conformists are people who make threads like these.
People have different standards, opinions, and playing styles. If they don't like the game, they're going to say why. You like it, they don't. Get the hell over it.

Um this type of behavior has been seen in almost every mmo to date. They inforce rules for awhile after game releases, and then as the game ages they get more lax on rule enforcement.

What a crock of Bullshitt. Really, completely. A hugely subjective outlook touted as some sort of fact. Realize you are a minority, sorry, but its true, the genre has transcended gamers who have 40+ hours a week to do corps runs and other things people like you tout as a "Challenge".
I know what you’re going to say, and just about every single thing you would list as ways to make things a "Challenge" are going to be complete and utter time sinks, and ONLY use large amounts of time as a barrier to entry.
To say there are no "Hardcore" as i am sure you will call yourself, games out there is a completely false. Because every single one that you are going to list is still running, just on a skeleton crew, with no funding, and a tiny, niche population.
There is a game for everyone, you should find it, play it, and be content on showing the 5 others that also play it your "Uber gear" and tell them stories about how long it took you to offline train grind earn for it.
You don’t have to like every game out there, no one is forcing you.
It’s also quite funny you attack me, and point your entire subjective rant at me, when all of my comments were not about any game at all, but in fact, forums in general.
Thank you for making my point.

Yeah i am sorry but Mr Bloodworth got owned. And if you want to teach us about discussion, would be nice if you preach the same idea on AOC board? don't be a hypocrite please.

What he posted had nothing to do with anything i said, just some kind of ranting that he’s to hard core for today’s games. Boo hoo. Even his supposed reason is a NICH reason, and not the reason majority of "Negative posts". That simply boils down to "My game is better than your game".
I have never had any issue with people posting about dislikes of a game, its the Idiots that have no other Motivation than to simply bash the game i take issue with. Again, my three postings in this thread had nothing to do with warhammer.
And discussions take more than one person; this whole site is not for discussion, only "one upping" the poster above.

Pwned....epic burn.
I agree with bloodworth. Forcing people to spend ridiculous amounts of time doing redundant crap is not "hardcore" nor does it make the player "hardcore". What it makes you is a....person with excessive free time (a nice way of saying loser). Get some real life friends, go outside, maybe even interact with someone of the opposite (or same if that's your preferrence) sex every once in a while.
The fact of the matter is that the MMO genre (with the help of WoW) has now grown to include people who have real life jobs and responsibilities. The minority in the genre (my how the tables have turned) are those who have no real world responsibilites, and who can play for 60+ hours a week. I for one embrace this new direction the genre is taking because it caters to my play style. I'm sorry that these games do not give you what you need, but it's like you said you've got Eve and there are quite a few players in that game so you're all set.

you should give Ryzom a try its free until the end of October. Most people don't get on with it because you actually have to think and use your brain in the game. It's complicated and takes a long time to peal back all the layers and realise whats there. A lot of players trying it out have said it's similar to SWG before the game was made into a hash.

I never understood why people seem to get so offended by people making posts about what they don't like about a game. The reason forums are always full of negative posts is because they are the ones motivated to give an opinion. When was the last time you sent a letter to a company saying that you liked something? It's one of those no news is good news type of deals.
The real measure will be the sub numbers in a month or two.
As far as the whole hardcore vs. casual gamer argument goes I think these games have all turned into nothing but a time sink. All you have to do is log in and play and you basically get everything handed to you. You can have something be challenging without it requiring it taking 40+ hrs a week. The MMOADD/socially retarded crowd that rant about having a "real life" and not having time to raid or find another person to do something are mostly just lazy. Maybe their parents let them win at candyland too many times or something but I don't see any point in playing a game that lets you win.
Ryzom is awesome, unfortunately the community is a bit insular and in the worst case exclusive.
While you're welcome to your own personal opinions, I want to take issue with being called lazy.
I work a full time job, I have a serious girlfriend and while I really do love MMOs, I have interests outside of these games. As a result, I don't have time for hardcore raiding and the like. That doesn't make me lazy. It makes me well rounded.
As to the shot at parents... WTF?
Iif you want to make your point, you could probably do it like a grown up without calling people names and attacking their parents.

I agree completely. I have a job that I work 40 hours a week at least, I have a serious girlfriend, and I go to school. It's not laziness that I do not have time to raid, or grind repetitious time sinks for items, it's just that there are not enough hours in my day to do so.
Which is why I personally, as I stated before, embrace this new movement in MMO's of having gratification offered with less time invested. Warhammer lets me jump in for an hour or two and get my fair share of pvp, quests, pq's, and whatever else I feel like doing.
For the people that require more from a game, the only advice I can give is to find one that suits your playstyle and enjoy it.
