Worth the trouble?

dirkjandirkjan Member Posts: 11

I found Atlantica online via the Game&Game website. It linked to Atlantica.gamengame.com where you cannot download the client. So you need to use the ndoors website to download it. (problem 1)

The second problem is the login, by using the gng login info you are not allowed into the beta. When you try to make a new account on the ndoors website it says your e-mail is already in use (probably used by gng) so a new account is not possible unless you have a second e-mail account.

The third problem is the accountname (e-mail) length of 20 characters. An average e-mail adress already uses 10 characters for the @emailprovider.com (@gmail.com, @hotmail.com) so you mustn't have a long e-mail adress either.

Now is the game really worth all the trouble (other download space, short new e-mail for ndoors, etc)? I personally doubt it.

Won't take you more than 20 mins to do all that, and i guess even if you hate the game you would play atleast 2-3 hours so i guess it's worth it

--my e-mail is not 20 characters and i have a account, you don't even need to be logged in to download the client...

Yes the game is worth it. Its far more complete than average f2p mmorpgs. This game feels very full. I seem to be able to do lot of things rather than just GRIND GRIND GRIND like most f2p's

dont think twice on it,, the game is definitely worth the trouble.. sometimes its not enough reading the threads and having yourself be convinced by people playing the game. when i first learned about the game i was reading threds and people were bashing the game either because of the stamina system or some other minor flaws... i decided to download the game and bam there you go, i fell in love with it.. i suggest the only way to answer youir question is to go onlne and play the game

Generally speaking, it is worth the trouble. The turn-based fighting is strategic without being slow. The crafting system lets you make stuff without slowing down the gameplay. The storlines, if you bother to read them, are a little lengthly but generally interesting to read. Quests are abundant, and naturally lead you to the area you should be fighting in.

/thread Yep the game is definitely worth the try. Although it must feel bad that you're having all these tech problems, rest assured, Atlantica is a great game. If you have doubts about the game, its just natural man, its like meeting up with a woman you don't know and she tells you that she's interested in you LOL. Of course you'll have doubts at first.

The game is definitly worth playing.  You can download it from various places and then itll just autopatch itself.  I can't think of another game like it that actually works strategy into the battles but is not just a single player game.  You can treat it as an mmo working with people or you can just follow the storyline by yourself if you really want to.  Graphics are not super high quality but very very good for a f2pmmo.

I keep reading about this game, and most of it seems very encouraging, but what I WONDER is how everyone is actually getting to PLAY it.....isn't it in BETA right now?  Last time I looked, there was no way for me TO play the game yet.

well maybe you're just frustrated now cos of the problems you've encountered in downloading atlantica. try to be a bit more patient with the internet. it goes crazy at times. it'll all be well worth your time once you get to play the game. :)

I never had any of these issues, but it's probably because I got my client through NDoors, not G&G.

Looks like a GnG issue, not an Atlantica issue, it escapes me why they would even allow registration from another site.
The second problem is the login, by using the gng login info you are not allowed into the beta. When you try to make a new account on the ndoors website it says your e-mail is already in use (probably used by gng) so a new account is not possible unless you have a second e-mail account.
It takes less then 5 minutes to set up an email, and if your email is in use then you should be able to have your password and account information sent to that email
The third problem is the accountname (e-mail) length of 20 characters. An average e-mail adress already uses 10 characters for the @emailprovider.com (@gmail.com, @hotmail.com) so you mustn't have a long e-mail adress either.
Account name is not the same as your Email, this is basically your login. My email is over 20 characters and I had no issues.

Now is the game really worth all the trouble (other download space, short new e-mail for ndoors, etc)? I personally doubt it.

Yes, in my opinion. But not everyone will like it, I personally love it, I am here to stay and it is rapidly gaining and keeping members.

I think the issue is between the keyboard and chair in this case ^.^

I don't think NDOORS has a problem with that maybe his computer has. Its a shame though that he wasn't able to try this one. Does this site sponsor a download BTW?
