Everyone knows that playguides are shipped out to distributors, 2-4 weeks prior to the release of a popular game for various marketing and sales reasons. Prima Stratedgy Guides, one of the lead names behind gaming Playguides has already announced their edition for the release of Everquest II. Now in the event that the release date of playguides are delayed, one might assume that either the content of the game had significantly changed, thus rendering the playguide somewhat useless or... that the release of the game itself had been delayed for whatever reason known to man.
This of course results in an increase of anxiety attacks, blood pressure and the occasional bed wetting due to lack of self control.
The following is a notice i received from one of the major Online distributors for SOE products and affiliates.

Maybe some alien race intercepted the e-mail using thier advanced technology to change you e-mail so you can give us the false information so they could purchase the game in abnormal amounts so they can fullfill thier plans of world domination by taking conrtol the mind of all the world's gamers and take us Triceptor Prime 234 to mate with thier alien wome!!!!!!!!!

the strategy guide is just delayed because A. eq2 was delayed so they dont want to release it too earlie or B. they set their dead line too earlie so they had to make a new one.
it is too late in the games development to make a change that would render the strategy guide useless
There are plenty of things that will be changed between now and release, I'm sure. Fine tuning of spells and such.
Not that any of that would stop them from putting out a guide with incomplete, or innacurate info. Which is why I don't understand why people pay money for those books. You can get alot better info on the internet, and 9 times out of 10, for free as well.

we get a strategy guide online though..
well those of us that preordered it do

Heh yeah. The only thing those strategy guides are good for is for newbs to the mmorpg genre. They just help with alot of the basics of the game and have maps and stuff pritty pointless for people who have experience with other mmorpgs. And if theres certain information you wanna find out about a class or where to level or other things you can just ask someone in-game or easily find a source for free on the internet. Those guides are just a waste of money imo
