Well i must say ...this game as caught my attention i know with WAR just dropping and so many people not appreciated by it's performance and so many not wanting to travel back to the past and go all WoW again and with nothing really standing from the crowd at the moment....Why not look at Runes of Magic
This is a list of all the things they have in store for players.Im skeptical too about f2p but after Guild Wars...i dont think all hope is lost for the free mmo genre...and this game may back my claim up more then enough.

I think this game is going to do well.
Personally though I don't like the Item Mall system, I prefer to subscribe on a montly basis.
So I won't play it.
But I think it will do pretty well indeed.
if they make a p2p server or atleast just one without a mall, i might play but until then i dont care. i dont want my game to be controleld by how much money (other than 'let me play' money) i pump into it
its looks like WoW and GuildWars, in one game^^
with regards to the item mall. It has been stated i believe that they are trying to avoid the item mall giving players such an advantage that it is deemed necessary. Rather it will be used to obtain things available elsewhere easier, or for novelty uses. I'm pretty sure i read something along these lines anyway.
Really though, the best way is to try it. after all, if you try it and then find out you feel you need to buy something to proceed, you just quit. But if you don't try it, and it turns out you can get on just fine without ever using it, you might just miss out on a great experience.

Yep I seeing this game doing really well.
-GUILDMASTER OF WICKED RED-
See thats my thing even though RoM offers up so much that other p2p MMO's are and then then some if the item mall plays a important roll as it's going to make or break the game at certain levels then i wont play it. GW had an item mall but it was for extra char slots and things of that nature, nothing reAlly important.
If they add a Donation then they should be fine because even though it's f2p they wil lstill make money from the donations just for the mere fact that people would donate just to see the game further. Being part of the norm and being smart helps.
For a F2P really looks like it has some promise. Kind of snuck up out of nowhere but looking forward to trying it.
The information released so far regarding the item mall is saying that there will be nothing in there to allow someone to do something they couldn't otherwise do. No super weapons, no invincible armour, I'm guessing just a quicker way to get crafting materials, or a better chance of refining an item or something. Aswell as novelty stuff like non combat pets, house decorations etc, that sort of thing would be bound to sell, and not break the game for anyone without.
Of course, the best way to find out if it breaks the game or not is to try it, and as a free game, there's nothing to lose from doing so
well... apart from time, and if you do like it, a social life... details, details

I like the idea of player housing. If the Item Mall is limited to buying furniture and simple cosmetic things like that it shouldn't give anyone an unfair advantage.
Yea i agree If they keep it to cosmetics i dont think it will harm the game. I would play this game even if it did have the buffed up item mall. But i think this game is much promise and as long as the please the majority we should have much to worry about.
It kinda reminds me of a free version of EQ + housing system.
