After Bailout, AIG Execs Head to California Resort

abcnews.go.com/Blotter/story

"Less than a week after the federal government committed $85 billion to bail out AIG, executives of the giant AIG insurance company headed for a week-long retreat at a luxury resort and spa, the St. Regis Resort in Monarch Beach, California, Congressional investigators revealed today."

Taxpayer money well spent. Seriously, when are we going to start putting people like this into Federal "pound me in the ass" prisons?

when americans grow some collective balls and stand up to the damn out-of-control government.

So...not while they have SUVs, cell-phones and tanning beds to think about.

I remember back in 1999, folks kept asking me if I was stockpiling food. I always answered, "No, I'm stockpiling ammo and making a list of people who are stockpiling food"

It just infuriates me that they took a vacation after getting bailed out. Like, "ooh we deserve a vacation now, because our company has been doing so great!" The company failed, got an 80 billion dollar bailout and these fuckers give themselves a week-long vacation at our expense. The nerve of these guys is unbelievable.

    Unbelievable, really.

This country truely is full of pussified people.  Not this alone of course, but SO much has been happening over the past few years, it's obvious we are in need of a revolution/civil war, to take back our government.

What's worse, is I guarantee you, a very large portion of this countries population would support these pricks saying, "Oh, they deserve a little getaway.  They've been through some very hard times here lately."  All the while they're sipping on their Starbucks Latte, sitting in their Mercedes, wearing designer clothes costing more than you or I make in a month, and driving home to their multi-million dollar home.

I am an American by birth and heritage, but I am really beginning to despise this country.

What is wrong with a little bit of R & R after the taxpayer buys your "illiquid" (no one wants to buy them because they are worthless) assets?

The taxpayer is very, very generous towards wealthy people in the USA.

Sadly no, this isn't anything new. Disgusted, yes but not surprised.

Isn't it wonderful when Congress throws money at a problem, then doesn't bother with oversight?

what disturbs me is they knew they were cooked. im probably referencing lehman brothers more than any other, possibly AIG too, not sure.

that is, the top execs knew what was coming down the road but did not issue any warnings to the stock holders or regular joe employees. they did not act responsibly. they acted greedily.

i would like to see hearings, not capitol hill shenanigans where just as dirty politicians try to deflect blame and show the american stupids we are doing something about this. no. attorney general procedures. indictments. what did they know? when did they begin covering it up?

the bottom does not fall, all of a sudden.

The Bush/McCain base demonstrates their contempt for the peasants.

CH, Jedi, Commando, Smuggler, BH, Scout, Doctor, Chef, BE...yeah, lots of SWG time invested.

the bush mccain base, are the peasants.

so is the obama biden base.

the voting block are the peasants.

    just ordinary americans.

who are not as saavy or knowledgeable as us plugged into the internet.

my conservative brother in law, who hates bush(peer pressure of NYC got to him) , tried to pronounce the AYERS name...i had to do it for him.its william ayers, rob.  it was the first time he ever heard of him.

    with 27 days until election.

    They all knew.

    For years.

They just wanted to get the money, and get the hell out.

Watch this video from 60 minutes covering CDS, its a good one.

That guy from ISDA, keep watching his face. He is almost smiling, and very condescending. Notice how he doesn't say much either. That should fill you with rage.

What isn't commonly said by the media is that an awful lot of people saw this coming years ago and were totally derided and insulted by said media. Do a search on youtube for Peter Schiff, there is a clip where in 2006 he was on Fox News warning that this would happen. They literally busted a gut laughing, called him names, and ignored him after he had his say.
