Aside from the 10 gold newbie NPC, are there any other npcs that buy items that are actually based on the price of the items that you have? I also noticed a treasure appraiser or some similar NPC. Where do we get the treasures there? Does the treasure map that we get from the mail related to this?

Regarding this NPC, it is an introduction on how to trade with merchant NPC simply because in the long run, you get to trade in books, artifacts and the likes in pretty the same way. As of the pricing, most players go to a city and use the town tool which has a market and do their business there. As to the artifacts you were asking, it is a random find or loot from a treasure chest that an old treasure map summons. So far, with one eyed treasure maps that is given if you are logged in for an hour, i have not yet acquired any old artifact from them.
I hope i was able to clarify a few things on this.
There are several merchant that you can sell your stuff.. some of your stuff can be bought in 1k like for the coin shard you earn in the league... but most of your stuff are worth 10gold for these npc.. so if you have items that are prices are below 10gold in the market it is advisable for you to just sell it on npc.. like in hanyang.. that merchant is the most accessible merchant who buys anything from you he is just located outside the town..
