Atlantica on Strategy...

Guys, how do you find this game on it's strategy side? How do you like it so far? Where do you think this game lacks when talking about strategy? Is it on it's economy, battle, community?

In any case i just want to know what you guys think.

As for me, i like the way they designed things. Especially they placed the setting in a familiar environment. Earth on it's ancient time. On strategy, the good thing i like about this game is how it makes you think on the way you form your party, you make your team grow, and the likes.

The battle, on first peek is somewhat more of depending on the mercs you have but in the long run if you think about it varefully especially when you start to llose, then you'll realize a lot of things. at least that's what happened to me. Now i know that you have to consider the party members the formation. the spells you are planning to use. the combination of mercs and hero depending on the party build.

In anycase, what can you guys comment on this.

Thanks.

Well, when fighting you need to decide who to attack in order to maximize damage. For example I try to hit as many people as possible with my gunner, so I hit those with 2 or 3 columns of enemies. I also focus fire on hard enemies, unless I want a certain mercenary to level up. In those cases I try to estimate the damage I do so that the mercenary I want to level up gets the last hit.

The game has full of twist.. it is not the matter of which layer has the highest level because in atlantica it is very typical in pvp to upset players.. like battling agains lvl45 and they were badly beaten by lvl 30's.. i experienced it so many time im always loss to low levels... so it is a strategy game that requires planning carefully your moves....

i like how the strategy is holistic. it's not just the classes of the mercenaries that you need to attend to but also their formation and their skills. also, every battle calls for a different strategy so it really is very challenging.
