I'm just curious if Atlantica gamers choose the gender of their character which is the same to their own. I do. How about you guys?

Sometime I do... sometimes I don't. It really depends on my mood. That's one of the nice things in playing RPGs - you get to create your own personal character and get to carry out 'his/her' life in the game.

uhh. i rarely do it. i dunno why. since i'm roleplaying, i still would like to put a bit of my identity in it. so i stick to my gender.

well, for this game it doesn't matter - there are so few choices for individualizing your character - i was actually surprised about how few choices there were - no sliders either

plus if you DO choose maie it is the usual girly man like japanese console RPS - i don't need to be represented by a he-man master of the universe muscle guy but really - they are just too purty

I always choose a female class and a healer. If the healer is a male and cant be changed, I go for a bow user. Now I do that because I think its a lot more fun to dress up females rather than males. True, males with eventually look cool, but females tend to lose more clothing, which is a must see. LOL. So yeah, I'm picking a female over the male character gender anytime. I'm a staff user in AtO and a fem at that.

I usually choose a male because... well, no particular reason. Maybe because I am stuck in the illusion that they are stronger than females? But, I'm female though!

Hmm... characters in atlantica is very interesting you can distinguished their differences you always thought that each of your mercs has different personalities.. regarding gender or our main character i prefer to be femalie... because my name  in the male character is already not available on the time i registered...

good question, a study should be done about this... from my experience gamers online tend to be "nicer" to the female sex in the virtual world.. this is why i guess some guys tend to choose female as their character since they get respected online esp in PVPs... this question though is irrelevant in AtO as the community really very welcoming and whether youre a girl or not, youre very much respected by all the gamers whether high levels or not

Yeah, people tends to be nicer if they saw that the character and the name is a girl. Well I do tend to be nicer if I the character is a girl. But my gender in Atlantica Online is the same as mine.

Actually, some of my friends who plays Atlantica Online uses this kind of strategy, using a different gender. But I won't tell you who they are.
