Tips on Dodging

I noticed that my enemies sometimes dodge when I attack them. Can we dodge too? Sometimes I saw my character and my mercenaries dodge at the same time I click my mouse(because I panicked whenever someone attack me =p). Is it just coincidence? Are there any way to dodge their attack manually? If you know, please do share. Thanks!

I think 2 factors affect your dodging - dexterity and the level gap between you and your opponent. I believe that dexterity is the primary attribute for dodging, while I theorized from the misses I have against high level opponents, that level difference makes a difference in regards to dodging rates. Or I mayb be wrong and it's all random.
