One of the best things about Atlantica Online is the community. When you get stuck or need help everyone seems to lend a hand. Now I’ve played some other online games and some of them have a friendly atmosphere, but it’s nothing like what Atlantica has.

One of the reasons for this is due to the Mentor -> Disciple relationship.

At level 30 your considered experienced and able to train some disciples (noobs) and help them out in the game. When I first heard this I thought it’d be a waste of time, why would you bother helping a noob? $200,000 is why!!!! That’s right ! When one of your disciples reaches level 30 your character gets $200,000.

So I picked up 10 disciples, which is your max allowed. I now want them to get to level 30 as quick as possible. So I send them each a few pieces of armor, costing me about $700 per disciple. With the new armor they will no longer die as easily meaning they’ll level faster. That’s all fine and dandy, but when they hit level 15 it’s all out dated. So I then take a few minutes of my time to craft them some reasonable lv15 armor. Total cost of about $20,000. While crafting I also teach my disciples how to craft there own sword and armor and try to share as much of my information as possible.

Total Cost: $20,700 plus a little time and effort.

Total Gain: $200,000 and some appreciated thanks ?

I mentioned earlier that I like to share information with my disciples. Some of you might be wondering what the monster information even does. Well, Atlantica keeps an encyclopedia of monster information you’ve acquired. This will list out what monsters drop which items along with the frequency of the drops. This can be invaluable when you need specific items. Also when fighting monsters that you have information on, the fight will be a little easier and your drops will be a little better.

You can also share this Monster info with other characters in your guild and also with friends. Since everyone is wanting to fill there monster encyclopedia as quick as possible, most people don’t mind sharing information as long as you send some info in return. Not only that, but each time you share information you get a little bit of stamina back.

If that’s not reason enough to make a few friends, then how about this…..FREE EXPERIENCE! Yup, just join a party and after each battle all party members will earn some bonus experience. You don’t even have to be in the same area! It’s great! So, next time you play, try joining a party. You’ll get the benefit of being party of a community and free experience to boot!
