CoH on Vista

Will the game work on Vista? I´ve read on some forums that theres a fix for some bugs, but i also heard that it makes your PC permanently slower.

    I play CoH on vista no issues.

    What did you hear makes you PC perminately slower CoH or vista?

    Vista eats 1gb of RAM, so yeah it uses up a lot more then XP. If you are carrying 2gigs and go to vista, you will need to get another gig to make up for it.

    I have 4GB RAM and a ATI Radeon 4800 graphics card.

    Well unless your CPU sucks your in good shape.

    Vista here with no issues either, AMD X2 6000 (3GHz?), 4GB ram, 8800GT Nvidia card. Only complaint I've heard from Vista users are driver incompatibility which are easily fixed by downloading updated ones, and I disabled UAC which drove me nuts after a while.

    UAC?


    Vista's User Account Control, it gets in the way of many things and causes incompatability with some componments (like my Razer mouse). It's under User Accounts in the control panel, people might argue it's a security risk but there's already a firewall and you can get free spyware scanners.

    I originally had to force my widescreen resolution through the registry in Vista, but I've since uninstalled and reinstalled CoH and haven't had that problem again.



    So no problems at all here. I run everything maxed including particles and such, but I'm on a 9800 GX2.
