Many of my guild (me included) reached Level 20+, around Level 23 suddenly everyone complains that Leveling is horrible slow. They started to Re-Roll or leave the game.
on Burlok we often have long Scenario Queues and PvE is the only way to gain XP. I did Quests and grind Mobs but the XP isnt moving at all.
Yesterday i just logged out and watched TV because the XP gain was simply to slow for the time and work invested.
xp curve needs to be increased at least 35% in PvE to enjoy the game and level for the real reason to play > PvP
bad english,sorry

Sorry you're having difficulties with it. I actually remember leveling from 22-26 mostly from PVE and PQs, and it didn't take too long.. 27's when I hit a wall, but I guess your experience is different for some reason. They have fixed the xp scaling and added repeatable quests, so it should be easier for you now.
Also, why do you continue to make threads like this? You have five now complaining about how boring and awful you think the game is, and already said you quit multiple times.
Waiting for Fallen Earth, World of Darkness, Old Republic, FFXIV
Its 5 times easier than level 1-70 in wow before the xp increases so Im not complaining one bit. Do some solo keep defending, it yields massive xp and rr
To the OP, if you think t3 is bad, wait till t4. Things are slooooooow. Heres a tip, grind PQs. Find a good aoe (taunt) tank, a good aoe dpser, and a good healer. 3 man PQs over and over again. It is the fastest way.
You're a bit behind the times...

As part of our ongoing effort to tweak Warhammer Online based on player play patterns, we are making some adjustments to the rate and manner of experience gain in certain parts of the game. We continually analyze the data from our in-game metrics tool and as a result, we have made some changes to WAR. These changes will ensure that you will see a noticeable improvement to the rate at which you gain experience in tiers 3 and 4.
We are currently in the planning stages for our next phase of experience enhancements, so expect more on this subject soon. In the meantime, we know these adjustments will make for an enhanced game experience in the later tiers as well as providing additional incentive for people to engage in open RvR action. Again, please keep in mind that these changes are only the first step and we have some additional changes/improvements to open RvR that we can talk about next week.
Quest Experience Rewards
* We have revised the experience awarded for completing quests in chapters 10 through 22.
New Repeatable Quests
* We have added new repeatable PvE quests to all tier 3 chapters (chapters 10 through 14).
* The new quests offered in chapters 10 and 11 may be completed twice each.
* The new quests offered in chapters 12 and 13 may be completed three times each.
* The new quests offered in chapter 14 may be completed four times each.
Skirmish RvR Experience
* The experience earned for killing an enemy player in an RvR lake will be increased by +50%.
This is from 10th october and note that it is just the "Phase 1"... the next phase will bring additional boosts and tweaks that couldn't have been implemented on such a short notice. Mind you, creating a bunch of new quests in a few days is no small feat. I wonder what new content phase 2 will bring...
I already noticed a difference in leveling my toon through T3 - with the xp boost to underpop realms my server has the xp gain speed is quite acceptable now.
to me the pve is just a grind and so boring and i just can't grind scenarios anymore.
i wanted massive pvp not rvr lakes that are empty
why do devs insist on levels if it takes 1 month to reach 40 why bother with leveling if you are trying to get a
player to play for years
all i now see is people complaining about level grinds and they quit a game never seeing this end game
that is suppose to be what keeps them in a game
same here dude, i wanted large RvR battles, now all i was playing are 99% scenarios with retards that are just there to run around and kill people never mind what site.
i participated in one Keep siege which was a shame for me, needless to say 5 order players defended the Keep against 40+ destruction players....
As far as I can tell no one actually thinks this helped at all.

Sounds about right. I don't think the RvR portion was tested in this game, its in that bad of a state. Scenario grinding and doing boring PVE isnt my idea of fun - so im considering canceling. Mythic have falied on all RvR fronts and have failed to deliver on a product that they promised, which is a shame for average consumers.

GW2 the future of MMO gaming
Yep, I'll agree that I hit the level 22-23 wall also. Even after the exp bump with the patch, I just can't seem to find the motivation to level anymore. It takes so long to find a PQ, and Tor Anroc is the only scenerio that ever pops. I think WAR is a good game with lots of potential, it just needs some work (like any new MMORPG). I probably wouldn't mind the grind so much if a lot of the little bugs were fixed, but the mob pathing, delayed casting animations, line of sight, etc. just make it more annoying (along with a few other things). I think I'll take a break for a couple of months and give it another shot at the end of the year. I suspect it will be a much smoother running game then.
Yeah, I find that I am lacking the motivation to play WAR at all anymore. I log in for an hour or so every other day and do a couple scenarios, then I get bored and log off. I'm thinking that I actually liked AoC more than I like this game.
Since the readjustment it took me about 4 to 5 hours to level as of this weekend. Instead of 8 to 10 hours that it was taking me. Thats not bad at all. 4 to 5 (personally) is about where it should be.
I have to say I'm a bit speechless.
The game has only been out a few weeks and you are more than halfway to top level and you are complaining that you aren't going to hit lvl cap faster?
The leveling is fine. Instead of concentrating at being at lvl cap maybe just play the game?
It's getting to be that if a player isn't granted top lvl top everything in a few weeks then it's not worth it!
Amazing.

I don't think its slow personally, definantly slower in alot of other games.
Besides at 20-23 your over halfway to the cap level, it should start getting harder if you ask me.
A good way to ignore the grind is to go to your nearest RvR lake, and start fighting for your realm, forget scenarios those are a grind. Personally I don't even think about the grind once some action starts going at a keep or objective.
i got L24 and half, i am not playing anymore since 4 days. my free month is over in 1 week too. When i log i just feel bored and i am also tired of scenarios.
guess i am done with WH..

What ever happened to the thrill of the chase? Nowadays everyone wants instant gratification and if they dont get it, they're bored.

The problem is that people are taking a rather myopic view on the gameplay. They don't look at the leveling as part of the game but just a prolongation until they get to the good stuff. Then they get top level, do a bit of the Top level content and cry for lack of what to do.
The other issue is the prevalence of fps players who desire a more fantasy based game to pvp. I only remember old games like Quake III where you didn't level but you just did arena based play for points.
I think they are not used to the leveling aspect of these games and they just want to be competitive in pvp.
Quite frankly, the wonderful thing about warhammer is that you will for the most part always be competitive as the level range is not too far to preclude someone from adding value.
I find myself logging in to do a scenario and 7 scenarios later I look up to notice that a good amount of xp had been gained.
I hesitate to say "smell the roses" because quite frankly that phrase conjures up a more relaxed and measured way of doing something. Since these games are competitive it doesn't really work. Players want to be competitive and want to test themselves against better players.
What I would say is enjoy the game for where you are. Play hard for the level you are at and eventually you will be top level. You have to keep your eye on the prize but you have to watch that you don't trip over your shoes.

Yes numerically 1-20 is half of the levels you will get, but it certainly doesn't represent half of the time you will spend leveling is it?
I could care less about level cap, but when I am looking at the next level it really puts things in perspective.
For example, my current level requires 125k experience to get to the next level. PvE quests reward around 1.5-2.2k each. Assume you get half as much experience for killing the quest objectives and that puts quests around 3k total each. That is roughly 40 quests per level. That might not be a problem if they were entertaining or challenging, but most of them are travel to the GPS point, kill 10 enemies or find someone who is missing [which always leads to a corpse OH NOES!].
I would love to do some public quests or RvR battles, but there is honestly no one around. That leaves scenarios which is around 3-10k highly depending on the PuG you get into. That is all that people do now.
I want to love this game, but it is so hard to find people to do the activities it offers. Yes I am in a good guild and have plenty of real life friends on the server. However they are mostly all a Tier above me so I'm SOL in that regard.
Too slow for level or entire progress up to level cap? Do you know that there are only 40 lvls? Do you know that servers are already full with lvl 40 players a month after release?
I personally think lvl up is too fast in both PvE and PvP - you miss much of the content this way. If you play only for lvl up there many Korean grinders with much higher lvl cap and faster lvl up (at least first 100 lvls ). The best such game currently on the market is Cabal online (Last version of MU Online).
If lvl up is not your point but only lvl cap then Guild wars can be perfect for you with one of the best PvP mechanics currently in MMO market, even its too difficult to name it massive.
And last a suggestion about WAR: just keep all PvP quests for scenarios and go for PvE quests/PQ and join only scenarios that still have objectives to achieve. On some period return all completed quests and get them again. Move to the next camp/PQ, go for Keeps and raid dungeons, explore for tome unlocks. There are so much things to do so you will not feel how you lvl up. The only problem can be a low populated server, becasue single player is not of the strongest parts of the game. Its typical to get bored if doing just singleplay PvE quests.
Where themepark games try to hide that they are copying WOW, games like Mortal Online and Darkfall make no attempt to hide their inspiration
