The value of cannoneers…

 

Ive recently come to realize the value of cannoeers in a team.. Although they look awesome lugging that big gun around, the only value of a cannoneer is no less than the value of a monk.. Which is support.. In PVE its not muuch obvious since you can pull your cannons ups to +4 or +5 so they still deal alot of damage.. but in PVP, you depend on the cannoneers abiliy to stun... I guess it is safe to say that the best merc to accompany the cannoneer are gunners since they too have the ability to stun vertically.. Ive encountered some people with builds like that in free league and with a bit strategy they have the ability to stun the entire party

    The real value of the artilleryman in the team is that they do splash damage and upon doing the splash damage all of it's target has the chance of being stun... another helpful skill of artilleryman is their skill... they contribute a lot especially in pvp battles....

    Their value in PVE is not that evident because turns normally dont last to 3 pahses and since all they do is deal splash damage and thats it... but in PVP where turns would go more than 5 phases.. theere value would be highlighted because of their ability to stun.. i believe some teams are made to be stunners and freezers which is really effective in PVP... To clarify things, freezers and stunners are also effective in PVE but not necessary

    Well, even in pve, stuns are pretty good against units of 7 or more. You can find a lot more useful units later on in the game, but I think artillerymen are pretty good in PVE. They're like support fire, never meant to kill by themselves, but pretty good at spreading around damage and doing stun.

    cannoneers in AO are like real artillery in real life... they really bring down the house due to the splash damage but they can't really kill those little units XD that's why they should be accompanied by killers who are more inclined to killing solo XD

     

    that's just my two-cents regarding the value of cannoneers :D

    Can somebody give me some ideas on how to use the artilleryma to become an effective stunner??? because when i'm usingmy artillery man but he only stuns only ne to two people.. but when my opponent use d it they were so effective that they can stun almost all my mercs...

    annother value of artilleries is their ability to do deep insight. theoretically, not does is give you the enemies health, it damages the opponent per turn just like hex plus it lowers the foe's Magic def

     

    to be able to use the stun ability.. you must be able to hit the opponent 3 times, not necessarily in a row but as long as per turn you direct the hit at the same exact spot.. i cant fully confirm this as sometimes it works and sometimes it takes me 4 turns to stun

    another use of deep insight is to lower your def or mdef i'm not sure if it is def or mdef. so if you have hi def enemies you can use this skill to lower their defense for an easy kill
