WarSim stands for War Simulator. WarSim is the working project name.The game will be a massively multiplayer, role-playing, action/simulator, FPS set in World War II.
Our goal is to create a tank, aircraft, ship and first-person shooter game, in a single-server, combined-arms, strategic and tactical war simulation, encompassing everything from Navy to Air force, from enlisted man to High Command; attack planning; large scale bombing and fighter aircraft formations; supply logistics; rank structure and awards. This is not a simple death match style shooter with vehicles on small restrictive maps, but a simulation of infantry and vehicle combat, as close as we can make to that experienced in World War II, based on one map to the scale of the countries involved. From the Rhine river in Germany to the French shores at the Atlantic Ocean, all of Europe will be your playing field, without interruption or discontinuity. The battlefield is not limited—move around the whole map without restrictions. Grab a fighter and join a sweep. Grab a rifle & go on a patrol. Discover the battlefield and what the enemy has hidden for you. If the FPS is not your type, you're in luck! Are you a Real-Time-Strategy fan? Lead men into combat from a headquarters in Berlin. Plan and discuss possible bombing raids and patrols. Discover your enemy's tactics and find ways to counter them. Teach your enemy what side is meant to win.
