sound lag?

is there anyway i can fix sound lag, ill be in a fight and there will be no sfx then bam ill hear somthing and then it goes all quite again :S can anyone help me out?

I am not sure but there is a section on the official forums made specific for audio problems were Devs help you out and stuff... so try over there as well, you will probably get more help.
If you have a sound card, be sure the drivers are up to date. When I first tried to play LotRO I could not even get the game to run until I updated my sound card drivers.
In the audio cofiguration try setting Software device instead of hardware, it worked for me.
