Error Unziping Atlantica Online

I Downloaded like 7 times from diferent sources, like File planet, self download manager, etc.

Always I get same error wen unziping wiz winrar:

some installation files are corrupt

Atlantica online the file "???" header are corrupt

Does anyone have a solution please?

Try it with a legal copy of WinRar

After my smart comment, I felt guilty and decided to help.

I just downloaded from FilePlanet and it's a exe file, so there's no need to unzip it.

Self Extract Exe file, I know is and exe file, and I used a legal winrar version.

Any real help?

just downloaded and unzipped the 2 part files from the atlantica website seemed to be working fine have u tried those?

If whatever you're getting off the net is corrupt, then use BT. However, the seeds aren't a good number, so I'll just to say goodluck. And BTW, most things you get off the net are exe's. You may be leeching a wrong file and inviting uninvited guests into your front door.

I used torrent as well (the one on the main site), and it worked perfectly so far. I think a lot of the corrupted files come from the ones that are hosted on other sites. I'm not sure about the ones on the main forum, but I think, since majority of the players use these dowloads, that they're relatively safe.

ok i had same problem but i read in the game's forums and wut i heard is just download the .exe file on http the get a torrent open it but don't start it the rename your file to match the ones in the torrent and do a Hash Check it would get u around 95 - 97 % then just download rest on torrent

work for me and lotsa other ppl

If you are downloading using torrent, the post above meis correct, it is in the forum as well of atlantica.

For downloads though, using the browser, it is normal that there times that we end up with a corrupt file even if we are downloading the legit copy from a legit site and end up not being able to open it even if we have a legit winrar.

What i can suggest is first, make sure that the file name for each part are the same giving only the numbers in consecutive format.

Now if it is a torrent, aside form the hash check mentioned above, make sure to do a download check as well.

What i did in my case is that i download the installer complete which is only one file and used a download accelerator.

In any case, good luck and hope you will be able to play soon. this is a very nice game.

Up. Worked for me too. Most of the time though the corrupted files are the cab files. It will hurt if one of them is corrupt, as one of them is 1.3 GBytes. Its pretty close to downloading the whole game again.
