Ok so im not into the fantasy genre but i can see making a exception to the rule.
1.Will their be a thief class available?Id like to pick some pockets here and there.
2.Will there be pvp at all or a few months down the road with a seperate server?
3.I could be wrong but cant you just say yes to open pvp upon character creation in eq?Then pvp with others who picked that option?
Want to ENJOY an mmo?
Dont start a guild and dont be a leader or volunteer to be coleader or captain.
Just play the damn game:)
Comments
1. Yea, i "think" somewhere in the scout archtype.
2. Not at release, probably not for another 1 maybe 2 years yet.
3. No PvP at all, at release.
The game is based on adventure and exploration, no need to fight other players, only the aggro seeking people.
1. Yes, the Swashbuckler and the Brigand Classes
2. Yup, there will be some form of PvP.
3. You can still go in the arenas and fight people

1. "Scout Archetype - Scouts use stealth and cunning to explore the unknown. Highly skilled at detecting and disarming traps, they are experts at infiltrating the lair of the enemy. In combat, scouts rely upon the element of surprise to inflict opportunistic damage and gain an advantage over their opponents. "

2 & 3 "Just as the original EverQuest was geared towards PvE (player vs. environment), EverQuest II has a similar focus. PvP combat will not be available at launch, nor are there any current plans to implement PvP features in the future. "
That information is also taken from: http://eq2.stratics.com/content/faqs
But...since they got the whole good/evil thing going I guess in a few years it will be tempting to use that for a nice PvP setting...

@topic:
I'm really interested in what you get through picking pockets, i mean if it's worth the effort.
Draco'Cors - German EQ2 Guild
There isnt a theif kind that can just steal stuff. There are characters based around stealthing and attacking from behind or by surprise but noone that can take other peoples items and such.
There is also going to be no pvp at the moment. There is talk about adding it in the future since the whole thing is good vs evil. It would be interesting to see how the different towns and neutral factions would be affected by that.
