Shield of Protection vs Protect

Which one of these is potentially a better passive skill for the monk? The monk can only have one passive skill in the game, so you would have to choose between these two. As I understand, SOP heals your character everytime he/she is hit by a physical attack. Protect is every turn and heals and increases your main's armor. From those who have used both SOP and protect, what can you say is a better spell?

Protect is that the monk will heal your main character EVERY turn and gives bonus defens on it... while the sfield of protection, the monk will still heal your character when your  chracter RECIEVES damage... for example your character recieves 4 damage in one turn, your monk will heal four time during that tuen... you get what i mean???

yeah i can personally confirm this as i merc roomed my protect monk and hired a new monk with sop,, i found out that the it depends on what kind of hero you have...

as for me i have a cannoneer and since my only weakness is that he is constantly being sniped by archers at the back, sop is the perfect complment so it is always sure that he is always healed every turn...

the only draw back is that it strains the the monk's mp so u must always make sure that he has mana potion in quickslot

I think it depends on your playstyle with your main character. If you're main character keeps on getting hit a lot and is a frontline styled one, then SOP is probably a better choice. I think for support and soft mains, Protect is possibly more useful.
