I didn't realize how anti sociol many MMOs are until I played War. In alot of games people mainly travel solo. they get together to do a quest and then disband after. But in war people stay together and try to attack as many points and keeps as possible.
I also didn't realize how weak some games world pvp is until I played War. War definetly has the best world pvp system out there and its still be improved upon.
After a month the game is alot of fun and still very addicting.

What? Did you start playing MMO's after WoW came out or something?

I agree with the OP -- oh and I started playing MMOs in '99. I wont count UO in '98 since I didnt stay long.
It's good to see your opinion in 2 aspects of the game but, for the title I was expecting a full review. Anyway thanks for your comment.

"I could name at least 7 other MMOs out there that have better PvE BY FAR than WAR... but I won't... because they are common knowledge to anyone who's open-minded enough to stick their head out of their little game-shell and actually do some research before they act as if they know something on a matter they are discussing."
Please explain to me what makes the PvE in these games so much better, I have played most US MMos that have came out since EQ which I got for christmas of 99, right now I have WAR, WoW and Vanguard on my comp and turned on. All 3 have the same types of quests, all 3 you hit auto attack then various other buttons for styles or whatever the game calls them, all the same thing anyway.
I would really like to know what is so different, some mobs cast ,some melee some to a combination of both, some fight to the death some run when low on health etc , same in all the games I have played. Please tell me what I am missing here that makes WAR so bad in PvE...maybe the mobs in WoW do some kinda song and dance that I just cant get them to do? In LoTRO female mobs to a strip tease? what. what is it???

Ouch wave, don't ask someone claiming general fact, to state their general facts. That be like expecting the government to do its job (correctly i might add).
I mean at least war has some variation in the fact that, you can pq or not , quest or not, pvp (exp) or not, dungeon or not, etc.
I mean you literally have the option of doing whatever you want, many of which option are pve that other games do not provide.
But i kinda agree at some rate maybe its not the pve but the responsiveness of your actions these could use a boost. (not an overall big deal however)

xaxaxaxaxa, Pheace you are hilarious
The fact that WAR has the best RvR out there doesn't mean it's good, it means all the rest are non-existant or just too horrible.

"I'm just waiting for darkfall"
give it another 10 years -- I am sure it will be out by then. In the meantime, I will keep playing WAR -- and you can keep on waiting and waiting and hoping and waiting...
I completely agree with you. WAR is awsome, and the RvR portion of the game helps to make it that way.
I've been playing for a few weeks now, and I expect that this will be the game I play for the long run.

This post and then the guy who agreed have to be plants. Let me know how much Mythic pays, I can come up with crap if the price is right.
I like warhammer, but it is the single most unsocial mmo I have ever been in or could have imagined. Who the #$@% launches an mmo without a general chat!?!? Its like making a fps and forgeting the guns. The random group joining...no one says a word to anyone else. I was just in a 24man warband for a little RvR....no chat.
And yeah, alot of games have weak pvp compared to war because war FOCUSED on pvp; and the trade-off is weak pve and the loss of any type of community.
I mean....WAR is on par with EQ1 ($50 please )

The fact that the only thing that WAR has to offer to a respecting degree is RvR makes it half the game of so many others...
Now ostriches like you who like to play RvR only.. are pleased with it... which is fine or something positive like that...
People who wan't more than just to join a silent team for a zergfest of 3-key presses... aren't happy with the game.... HELLO?

I play more PvE than PvP in WAR and I find the PvE portion of the game excellent. In fact even witht the ineviteble bugs and glitches I enjoy it much much more than I ever did in a "PvE" game like WoW. Are you calling me an ostrich? Is that supposed to be an insult?
Here's my in-depth review of WAR PvE:

In addition I have no problems whatsoever with socializing in the game. In fact I find it extremely conductive to socialization if minimal effort is put into actually talking to people and taking charge. If you sulk in a corner waiting to be approached you won't get much company, I thought most people learned that in kindergarten.

this is a very personal perspective that may have resulted from mmo burnout so dont take it as general comment:
for me pve in age of conan was better because i got drawn into the story and had to do some pretty tough fights (as assasin doing sneak passages...)
in war i walk into a camp , find all quests and run from red compass area to the next to "work off" my quest
again, this is purely my personal experience and maybe i should have taken more time to read up the lore and stuff but for me the voiceover in conan made the whole immersion thing easier then in war and with that the pve more enjoyable for me
but fear not, ill stick to war a few month more since i enjoy pvp a lot and theres just a lot more meat on the bones then in aoc.
what i find interesting is that the war marketing isnt fokused more on the pvp experience. imho they shouldnt run trailers and ads that look just like any other fantasy mmo but they should try to get the counterstrike/ teamfortress/ ... crowd and place themselve not as another wow but as a multiplayer competitive game.
