If you post any links to Open beta test you can and well be BAN.

Whats better then a Open beta test for gamers?    But then again if a gamer like your self post it thay can't get any money.  there more about Greed then about the players

 

Ya I been coming to MMORPG.com for years now.

I think it's the best website out there but thats when it was for gamers by gamers.

(Hell it's even my home page) <-- Thats how much I liked MMORPG.com

Now MMORPG all about the money

It no longer about the gamers but about how much money thay can make out of it.

Kinda sad to see another Grate website go down this road.

Sooner or later there going to be asking people to pay for this website. If you can't see it I sure can.

There no longer about us gamers like this website start off been about.

But then again I am sure someone that cares more about the gamers then there own self greed.

well Start a new website just like this one and everyone can start going there.

I think not been for the gamers is very bad idea. There the once that made this website so big without them you still be set at home with you thum up your )__(

You usually can say about anything you want as long as it is respectfull and you stick to the post question, if in doubt don't post. As far as the open beta keys i see no harm and believe that it will corrected as such.

I guess you didn't bother to read the response by the community manager about the issue, the person in question wasn't banned, the were warned.

The reason he was warned is because there is a specific place stickied to post beta account stuff, and he didn't follow the rules, the community relations person wasn't able to move his post but created a new post in the correct area and explained in detail what happened.

 

Please don't fly off the handle and start throwing unfounded accusations around, MMORPG is a good community and flaming them because you didn't check your facts is uncalled for.

See; MMORPG.com evolves or devolves with time.  I honestly miss the time where En1gma was a moderator, Malkavian was tired of me, Kunou was trying to look cool...and Paratrooper was aiming for mere attention! 

 

But times change.  Some peoples will say the website is better, and perhaps they have serious points about it.  But to me, it is a shadow of what it used to be.  Admin was coming a lot around back then, and he wasn't afraid to share his thoughts.

 

Now, it is more PR...back then, I would never have receive even a hint of a warning.  They where cool and able to use their brains for the greater good.  But as it grows, they have to settle down specific rules, and you can't cross them even if you, are harmless while crossing them.  When it was the size of a family, if the Anofalye go out in the open where I wasn't supposed to be, but they all understood I was harmless, they would laugh at me, no warning.  Today I do the same, I will get a warning and possibly a ban...and it may even pain the moderator which has to deal with this, especially if I open my big yap and get the attention of more mods.

 

Rules are meant to be followed, by everyone.  If you have superior staff, you could adjust and make exceptions which are well worth it, but it require time and efforts...which is something their staff has a smaller supply than ever.  See, a teacher with 10 students may allow a few kids to cheat on some security rules, because he knows he can trust these 2 or 3 kids and they will be safe and okay...but a teacher with 200 kids has to apply the rules rigidly.

 

PS: Speaking of which, I stumble where I wasn't supposed to yesterday, as President Sarkozy was in Québec city...I have no idea how this happen, but I found myself, alone, no other civilians around, dozens of cops all around, ignoring me, and the President passes me by a meter or 2.  This could be used as another example, you have to remove everyone from such an area.  But since I am a local here and some folks prolly recognize me, they prolly just told their staff to let me wander, either to be kind with me, or to give a more lively feeling for the visitor...or a little of both.

I've never gotten a single warning and I've trolled to some extent or another.   It's all about how you say it and still having social graces.
