Btw, the CEO stated in this interview that the beta will soon start. Probably before christmas is my gess.
I was chatting with the guy that done the music for the trailer on their website a couple of months back. He said they would be realistically looking at some form of closed beta after April next year, with release penciled in for end of summer 09 tentatively.
So you have chatted with the creator of the music ... it sounds strange that you have chatted with that person ... give me the link to that conversation. Btw the creator of the music isn´t even an ordinary employee of Star Vault.
Well, the CEO himself says it will be soon. CEO talks about the closed beta.

it's pretty cool how well the developers interact with the community. you can sign right on the irc and talk directly with the ceo when he's on. he mentioned how when they showed gameplay to mark rein, vice prez of epic games, he danced around the room in excitement and that what they have could shock the world. hehe. the ceo also mentioned that in the upcoming week we'll know hardware specs. he told us that we'll see gameplay "very soon". i think it will be in the next month's update. the devs are being careful not to show us anything that might change.
Well the composer for that trailer and also in game music, Patrik Jarlestam. It was Via PM on the official boards. "I'm the composer for this teaser's music, and of course more music to come in the game. So the music is, if you would call it, "in house".
The vocals are sung by a soprano here in Stockholm. I will not mention her name until I get approval from her to do so:-)
I will be writing in-game music, and I know the answer to if there will be vocals or not, but I cannot confirm or deny it, since the project is ongoing. I can only say that my goal is to make the music great, by whichever means and tools I can!"
Was just part of the conversation had over PM's back in April. I don't know whats so strange? I had a question with regards to vocals used and if the music in game would be of the vocal type too, he pm'd me and we chatted about that and the game itself. BTW he is an oridnary employee of Star Vault. They have since released the name of the soprano but I forget her name sorry.
Looking forward to beta but it is still long way off.
So they have one pre rendered movie, and one screenshot, and no other information, and they're moving into beta? With all those magical features AND graphics unlike anything we've ever seen? I guess this is the new pipe dream. But hey, the more sandbox games the merrier. I might check it out in a few years when/if it releases.

looks not bad but: why announce the developers everytime a game in a so early version? it can only be alpha and the community already want see a beta... waiting 2 years for a final version cant be funny.
