Honest advice

Iwould like to hear from people who have played final fantasy and give me some advice as to any other mmorpg's i might enjoy.FFx1 is a near flawless game except for the poor taste in levelling ideas. They try to incorporate ideas that slow down your progress,to merely keep you in the game.

So i would like to hear some opinions on other games that dont force you into very time consuming/repetitive quests ideas in order to level up.I was gonna try lineage2,but am kinda stuck waiting for everquest2 to see what it has to offer. The idea of forcing people into parties in order to complete ceertain quests ,sounds good on paper, but in reality it just makes you spend countless hours trying to find players u actually get along with and enjoy hanging out with. Then to get all your friends online at the same time is near impossible.so i'm looking for a game that doesnt hold me back from levelling in order to play with friends.[level differences]and when im not in the mood of playing with other kids or childish players ,i can venture off on my own and still have fun? any ideas?

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

You know what?  You are right about FFXI about being almost flawless.  That was the tightest mmorpg I had ever played.  The quest idea was also dead on and the crafting was pretty nice.

But you are also right about the leveling ideas.  Also, the way they designed the game where a lvl 30 rabbit could literally and utterly destroy a lvl 40 warrior solo seems very disturbing to me.  That is what killed the game for me and that is what killed the game for so many; the force grouping issue.

I can't really get into EQ2..it's not my cup of tea.  Also don't buy Lineage 2; its the biggest piece of crap for a mmorpg if I ever saw one.  I'll post pics (a friend and I took the game to his backyard and shot it with my Beretta Cougar 9mm)...funniest thing Ive ever seen...still got the box and cd pieces (box is riddled in perfect 9mm circles lol)

But look over EQ2 really good before buying.  Heck dont buy it for at least one month after it comes out so you can get the feel of how people like it.

You could try the free trial AO has out. You can lvl, quest or do missions solo if you want in it pretty easily depending on the class you pick. The graphics arent that great in it though but not any worse than the other older games.

I feel your pain buddy boy. I'm in the same boat, accept my games were Eve-Online, Starwars Galaxies, Earth and Beyond, Freelancer, and Neverwinter Nights. Each got boring as time passed within the month or so. :( still searching for that perfect game.

Games? We need them for our Sanity, but they make us insane... we can't win.
