LF Sandbox or Similar MMO

Well I'll start out saying SWG Pre-NGE was my game of choice. I enjoyed the fact that the crafting was awesome, i could do whatever i want (craft, explore, dance, or fight), and wasn't ever required to shoot something.

I would love a game that caters to someone who just wants to live in the world. I want a choice of combat or career, and the ability to level up different skills instead of your general STR, AGI, INT skills.

I played WoW since beta, and have since then played WAR, AoC, PotBS, GW and LOTRO. All those games were good in there own right (well AoC and PotBS might be exceptions) but non really gave me that "alternate world" feel that I'm really searching for. And please, no Second Life suggestions!

    EvE is the only game i can think of but that wasn't really my cupotea but GL in your quest

    Now that Ryzom is back online, that's one option. It's definitely an alternate world, it's a very different world. if you haven't tried it, you should. Another option that I talk about so much somebody accused me of being paid to promote it is Magic of the Gods.

    I created a thread on here saying the game is in open beta. I've been corrected on that. It is available for people to playtest for free and it is the most sandbox type game I've ever even heard of, but it is unfinished and has primitive graphics like EQ1. Supposedly the graphics will be improved later. Eventually it might be great. It's interesting already.

    If you do play it, please join the Kingdom of Radnaria. That's the kingdom I founded. We are the only human kingdom so far and are small and weak and in need of reinforcements.

    sanitysend,  you seem to be looking for a sandbox style game. if you can wait for it to finish development, i'd suggest Mortal Online.
