Icon besides my Mercenary? A red icon with some arrow like design?

As I logged in with my account, I didn't notice it already, but when I encountered a battle with a monster, I saw some icon besides my gunner and archer mercenaries. I tried to observed what is it, an icon with square in shape, red in color, with somewhat arrow like design. It will seems like an emblem but its not. So any idea what is it?

I also have the same icon above my gunner. It is also red. But my question would be how to get those ammos? I mean my gunner still fire bullets whenever I am in battle. So what kind of ammo should I be getting in order for that icon to be 'no't red.

u can loot some, craft some or buy at market then place them in your off hand

icons appear above long range characters.. red means you are out of ammon, yellow means your ammo is below 50

 

cannonballs, bullets or arrows can be acquired through crating or buying them from the market

 

it will be an aweful waste of money if you use em during quests.. best save them for impt pvps or boss fights..

thwat they do is they increase your damage significantly

Thank you for this wondrous replies and facts. You had given me another game knowledge. Now, the thing is on which way can I save more money? Crafting or simpy buying the bullets and arrows at the market?

Depends.  I think crafting the basic bullet/ball/arrow is fairly cheap but so is buying them pre-made.  Depends if you want to eventually be able to make your own for personal use because I don't see making a lot of money on selling them but I may be wrong.
