Conan Screenies of my journey so far

in Age of Conan: Unchained

I have played Age of Conan from launch and have been through the high's and low's of the game.  Lately I am finding myself logging in before work and enjoying the game so much more since the last patch.  I thought I would share some screenies from both my wife's characters and mine.  All taken with the default on high and its the normal setting when I play.  I hope you like them...

Haunted forest in the game was pretty ugly...in a great way but not somewhere I would picnic.

Sometimes in AoC you come across some gruesome scenes.  Adds to the mature overall theme

Poitain is a place where you can mine loads.  The scenary and music is stunning there.

One thing I love in the game is climbing.  Adds to the realism and 3d feel.

Love the colours in this one.. I cant get over the grass and leaves in this game.

    Just joking, nice shots but I gather that the othewise nice graphics still have that "my highly detailed character is superimposed on this hazy background" look and feel?

     

    We dont need casuals in our games!!! Errm... Well we DO need casuals to fund and populate our games - But the games should be all about "hardcore" because: We dont need casuals in our games!!!

    Funny you post garbage shots of your video card overheating in the WAR forums and nice clean graphics over here? I wonder why AOC doesnt overheat your card? Or maybe its not the games?

    Some people are like slinkies, they dont really have a purpose, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

    Orzo if you read my thread on (uber screen crash on WAR) you would see that I wrote specifically that.  I have never had an issue with any other game on my PC and I play all on high spec.  WAR is the only game that crashes and gives me rainbow hell.  I am pretty confident with building and repairing PC's and my first thought on the first crash was 'OH SHIT!' because I thought it was my Video card dying and going to a better place.  However its not replicated any where else.  So now that WAR is no longer on my PC I am not bothered until that issue arises again, which it hasn't.  

    I also dont buy the overheating GPU either because most times it happened the PC was only running for 10 minutes as WAR was the first game I played.  

    Bothers me that I couldn't resolve it but then I figure why worry when it doesnt affect a game I actually care about.

    Yea that horse had to be eaten as I got lost in the Atzel mountains.  "Poor poor Cindy...such a tasty...ugh I mean loyal breakfas....um...horse.."

    I know what you mean about superimposed feel but I dont get that sense in game so much.  Also depends on the shading you have turned on.  2.0 or 3.0 etc.   Its one of the rare games I log into and just harvest a bit because the scenery and sound are pretty darn nice.

     It have to do with your setting, with my new GTX 280 I really don't get that feel at all. Before I had a 8800 GTS and then I got the feeling when I maxed the char but not the background to get a good performance.

     

    I actually think the char is fitting in perfect unless you have the settings wrong (Funny enough LOTRO give me the feeling "My hazy character disapears in the higly detailed background" BTW ;).

    Nice picture, but some of them does not look as good as a few I have. You should turn view distante to much higher.

    The guy is the assassin and the woman with the blunt weapon is a bear shaman and the one shooting the blue spell is a Priestess of Mitra.  :)

    Game sure does look good. Some of those screens are awesome.

    Shame there isn't anything worth doing other than taking screenshots though.

    You must not like MMO's I suppose. Which is weird, since you are here posting on an MMORPG site.

     

    Unless you meant that because of AoC not having, let's see, cross realm battlegrounds, outlands or scenarios nothing is worth doing.

     

    It is preferable not to travel with a dead man.
