aye, that is what i am thinking as well. you know, when lvl 20 you can get a wolf  to ride everywhere, it is so cool, my friend said maybe i need try a Marauder as a tank. i thought , hmm it is not bad,  but Marauder's hand is as beautiful as my squig's ass, i think its better that i play SH now. or one day it makes me bored, i will change one, but not in distruction. white lion is a good choice then

I think the Squig Herder is a rather fun career to play, but probably needs a little love damage-wise.

...who i see? you face is so beautiful black orc. you are right, when lvl 14 or 15, Squig Herder has an ability called Explodin' Arrer, which can cause damage over 9 seconds to the targets. it looks cool very much. but, how about its DPS? yes, its a little low. when my arrows kissing  the enemis, guess what i see? well, i just see these numbers:  30...............40...................20...........................30..........

well, dont care about it , just for fun!............but, being killed is not really fun,

In some aspect the SH reminds me of the WOW hunter with less damage and less survivability utilities. Pretty much in a can if the only line worth taking as a Squig Herder is big shootin and even that has been pretty much is borked when it comes to DPS.

When they took out choking arrer (a silence ability) they pretty much cut the nuts off them as being a real danger in scenarios and keep sieges.

Oh, did I mention. Squig (the pet) damage sucks ass?

I love the Sqiug herder :) i am usually the The bait tho and i make it clear in Scenarios that i will be the bait,  always get those dumb bloody order players chasing me everytime lol, of course i die but my whole team laughs there heads off because it happens everytime without fail, why they chase me instaed of the objective in which they should be chasing has got me buggered but at least we get a good laugh.

Maybe becasue i am spamming /laugh as i run through get's em, cranky...not sure tho.

A quite inferior class it seems to me, as a person playing one, but a fun one too. Currently I'm hoping that Mythic will realize the current inferiority of the Squig Herder and... boost it. I dislike the reliance on your Squig and how easy your squig dies.

I play the shadow warrior on order which is the mirror class of the SH and all i can say is that yes our dmg is pretty low and yes we dont live long once someone target us and yes were considered easy targets .

but i think were there to annoye casters/healers imo , or like me i like to bug witch elfs alot .

But over all i tried many classes on both sides and my main is still my gimpy SW , because i think it's fun and for keep defending there a blast as well .

if i make a healer heal himself instead of his friends i did my job

if i made a caster run away i did my job

maybe i wont kill them all the time lack of dps , but at least am helping in the best way i can .

anyways that my take on them at rank 20 .

dont loose faith on both these classes , shadow warrior and squid herder.

Squig herder is a mirror of WL, not shadow warrior.

Squig herder is a blast to play.  Arguably the weakest class in the game, but fun trumps everything in my book.  I consider it my job in scenarios to be as annoying as possible to keep attention off of the guys who can do real damage, or heal, or take down casters. . .

I don't want to write this, and you don't want to read it. But now it's too late for both of us.

Squig herder is a mirror of WL, not shadow warrior.

Plays more like a SW in my opinion. Both seem to have similar problems in terms of ranged DPS that is not quite good enough to make them a real threat (but better than a true melee class), and being weak in melee. WL is a badass in mellee, and has no ranged DPS to speak of.

No, no no! People stop saying that, Maruader is the mirror class for white lion. Medium armour, stances, close range combat, many many moves the same, many similar tactics etc. The only similarities between SH and WL is the pet, that is all.

Don't make me dig up the link.

i have to say...... you are right! The Squig Herder is paired with the Shadow Warrior, despite the Squig Herder's pet abilities. both of them have bows, and they are all ranged DPS( though some one of them-like SH's is low), and they are vipers. they stand far away from his enemies to shoot them, to help their friends kill them. when his enemies died, maybe they dont even know why they died so easily. i think that is why many of the enemies hate them and chase them around. bait????

maybe they feel the dread( or just think SH is easy to kill)

anyhow, SH make himself a fire support( powerful enough or not) to his comrades

yes, SH resembles in pets with WL, but in my opinion, WL is like a tank in war, and they are always in front...............SH never do that

throw squigs on rune priests and archmages to screw with their big direct heal. Also a well placed arrow or 2 can put a bright wizard out of commission.

SW/SH will not have big dps. They are not mean't to be rivals in damage to the melee dps and BW/sorc They are opportunists. Look for a good opportunity and take it. Much like engineer/magus are not mean't to be heavy dps, they are meant to use their CC and other effects to the advantage or their team one good concussion grenade on a keep's stairs and the enemies are now on floor 1.

Use your utility for max effect, If you have a ranged snare, use it.

SW/SH have many useful abilities to hinder foes and bolster allies. However, if this is not the play style for you, then I suggest a reroll. If all you wanna do is tear enemies apart and have "da big numbahs" at the end of the scenario, I would suggest a witchhunter/elf for melee or Bw/sorc for ranged.

yup give us range distance and we can great annoyance in the enemy healing backline and as i said before i like going for those WE because they always go for my healers .

SW and SH were not meant to be snipers like archer classes were in Doac , i realise that now but that make the challenge in playing the class even better for me for i have to find way to make it effecient in rvr and i believe i have , we are the forgotten in a scenario sometimes which make is easier me to work my position .

true about dps way too many players just want max dps class , am glad were different like the magus/engie , SH/SW .... sometime we can change the tide of things.
