Basis for number of hits

I've been meaning to ask this since I've notice this before but been reluctant since I'm might seem like such a stupid question… But, you know that there are times when a mercenary will hit and opponent sometimes once, sometimes three times per turn... Is there a basis for that action of theirs? Or is that just a random thing?

    there is no such thing as a stupid question my dear.. the hits are completely random.. sometimes it is affected by how much time you have left in your clock.. usually when you would cram an attack clicking just enough to make it attack before timer ends, the attack ends up hitting only once

    I've had a feeling it was really just random... So one possible way to increase the possibility of multiple hits is by trying to perform as much action while there is still a lot of time? Haha! Anyway, thanks!

    I was curious as well, during battle period there will be times that almost all mercenaries attack, and it wasn't part of the 5 limits move per turn. So, how does it occur?

    hmm.. a maximum of five mercs is allowed to hit per turn. the mercs who will hit depend on the number of action points that they have.

    if you're talking about the number of hits a merc can inflict, that i have no idea about.

    I thought those combo will be unleashed if you are double clicking the monster. That is why sometimes I am confused that even I double clicked the monster, my mercenary will just hit him once. I never thought that combos depend on how much time left on the clock. Now I have to move quickly to get more damage to my enemies.

    the more time allowance you give your merc to do an attack the greater the possibility of him doing a number of hits, as soon as time runs out he will no longer be able to do an attack..

    also if you brutal will or seths will your merc, the merc can attack for up to twice the normal range of hits

    fought in free league 30mins ago and some merc on seths will did 8-9 hits on my merc in one attakc... damn

    Brutal will will just increase the range right, not the number of hits? I haven't been using that spell since never really saw it's significance, until now.

    I would just like to share - I've noticed that my mercenaries tend to have more hits than my main. My main is a shaman but I also have another shaman in my party and she usually hits twice while my main usually hits only once. My main has a higher level than my merc, btw. So any thoughts on why this is the case?
