I had read on a forum a few weeks ago that mythic was considering closing daoc down... has anyone else heard any thing about this? IMO it's a better game then warhammer and I would rather play it, has better questing and basicly the same rvr and the classes are better in DAOC...

March on! - Lets Invade Pekopon
Haven't heard anything about closing it down. I'm still hoping for new info on Origins.
No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-
DAOC is being milked as a cash cow...as soon as expenses exceed profits..the lights go out.I re-subbed recently and saw how the game play is getting distorted by the low player populations.Stealther populations have exploded...casters die even faster than before.......hard core highly twink-ed players characters remain. Not a place for newbies and casual players.Yes..I have already canceled and play no mmog atm.
Well at least I have Fallout 3 to play until Mythic fixes the deal with DAoC. Such a shame. Even when I left 6 months ago, the stealth population was quite high. Make a mage, get to Thrid battleground, run for the center and get nicked as soon as your out of guard range. Sigh.
DAOC is dying on its arse definately. I used a trial account log in to check what pop was like and twas pretty painful to see.
Sadly warhammercraft hasnt captured the rvr aspect daoc once had .
If you hanker for some good old DAOC rvr id try the Instant 50 free shard which is always full and is freee 8)
Greatness is difficult to appreciate from close up. The great mountain on the horizon is only the ground when you are standing on it.
