Cash Shops... Should be buyable epics

ChiramChiram Member UncommonPosts: 643

Yep, I said it. Wanna know why? Simple really. There are lots of people out there, like myself, who both love and hate working for items. I work all damn day and some weekends I make progress, others.... none, because I get in groups with smacktards, you know the scenario.

My theory is this, you got your hardcore raiders. You know, the ones who live with mom, live off hot-pockets and play 16 hrs a day. People who have a life, cannot "ever" compete with them, period. So I figure, BlizzKorea should just go ahead and unload crazy epics on the cash shops. That way those of us with jobs who actually have money and did something with our lives can just buy some of the best gear and get the rest.

I was told they were closing down many of the bridges, people just aint using them so much, they prefer to fly now a days.

But seriously, Wrath could not make "epic getting" any easier, there are 10man verisons of all 25man raids, the loot aint so good as it shouldn't be, the 10man raids are designed to be done in a few hours (think karazan).  Now if you can't commit 1 evening a week to raiding a 10man dungeon......then... um.

Failing that spend a few hours in the battle gorunds and spend your honour points on PvP epics, not so good for PvE but hey you dont have time for PvE right.

Failing that, run 5man heriocs and spend the badges on half decent epic PvE or PvP gear which ever you prefer.

Failing that craft and/or buy a good crafted epic set, yes wrath has far more crafting stuff including full epic sets.

Buyable epics? What's the point of raiding then? Cash shop items should be limited to cosmetic and/or mounts/ tabards. If they add things that affect game performance in any way, I'd be very disappointed.

Wouldn't that make people tire of the game really fast? The raid players like to work months to get a certain awesome thing and if any Joe just can buy it, what's the point?

Raiding would stop and Wow would only have casual players and PvP players... AndIf you start selling the PvP gear too you woud only have the casuals.

    Bad idea.

P.S. 10 points for the under the bridge comment ;)

So what will be players goal after epics is handed to them? Nothing more, and players will start to leave.

I hate to raid also, but for me i just re-roll other class. And i dont agree with handing out free epics...

That said maybe blizz will add scrolls that can beef up your armor or weapons when use, but have a certain rate of failure.

I rather have a shop where  you can buy certain mounts...

This is just a troll.   In 4 years, Blizzard hasn't allowed anything bought outside the game to come into the game but cosmetic stuff (mounts, vanity pets etc).

WOW has more subscribers now then it ever has, there is no reason for Blizzard to risk the backlash from players just to make a little extra money.

Hmm... I was raiding end game in wow  tbc before I quite and I cant say that I fit in your description of hardcore raider... Insteed of doing strange posts like this. Play the damn game and use some social skillz to get into an hardcore guild. When you are in that nice guild, make friends and be social while you show them how well you can play your class and then you are in da Zone!

You can progress to the highest end content, while it's current, playing from just weekends and occasionally through the week.  The key is to specialize in your chosen gameplay area (PvP / PvE), ignore the other, and find other people on your schedule.

The rest is just how well you work as a team.

Still waiting for your Holy Grail MMORPG? Interesting...

I like how to OP 'does' something with his life but wants to spend money on buying virtual items for a virtual persona.

Fact is that most raiders AREN'T living at home or off hot-pockets, I guess you watch too much South Park to reliase what it reality and what's not. In my guild we have 3-4 people below 18, most have jobs, families/kids etc.

    Again
