is it possible to enhance the jack-o-lantern?

came up with this when the pumpkin jack-o-lantern quest was implemented.. i know yu cant sell em or trade em but is it possible to enhance the gear to +1s +2s?

ive read somewhere that eventually these hair accessories will disappear, is this true?

also im wondering about the neckys and the other hair accessories, what are the other availabe gears in the game and how do we acquire them?
